I can, and I do. I'm a big film buff--for me, this is is as engaging as Superbowl commercials. I love the whole thing--the outfits, the technical awards, the skits, the emceeing, the whole thing.
I know that it's not everyone's cup of tea, but are the kinds of minutae me, my DH, and my friends obsess over.
Btw, can't believe Pan's Labryinth didn't get it for Foreign Language. But The Lives of Others was excellent, too.

Yea, Hudson's win was expected and deserved. Blanchett was outstanding, but we expect that from her. I look forward to seeing what Abigail Breslin does in the future.
ETA: I liked her dress much better without the jacket.
