hmm..I see some people have posted when they are doing the lights. Do you need some sort of reservation, and is there a cost for it? I just thought you walked by them, or saw them during the backstage tour. Just when I think I know everything about Disney, I miss something LOL.

From what I understand, they are just there, and you go when you want (well, you do have to wait until they turn them on! LOL). No reservations needed!:p

That's what I thought, but some people have been listing a certain day they are going, just like Mickey's Christmas party and the p of candles.

It's a great show and be sure to get a pair of free 3d glasses CM's will be handing out has you start tour. They are free and really had to your experience of seeing the Lights. They are also yours to keep.::yes:: :wave2:

This will be the first year that we have been there for the osbourne lights - I can't wait to see them. Thanks for the advise on the 3d glasses I didn't know about them.

I only know of two special dates for the osborne lights so far... the 19th is a 'soft opening' for annual pass holders and the 20th the lights are open to those attending the spectacle of pins, pin trading event. For both of those events, it is my understanding that the lights are only open to 'select' visitors, but it opens to eveyone on the 24th.

I ma so happy we will finally get to see the lights. Our last night is 11/24. Should I expect a big crowd at MGM that night?

We saw the Osborne lights one year, and if I remember correctly, even though Fantasmic was over, we were able to walk and see the lights after the second showing of Fantasmic.

I think that we were walking around after park hours.

Does anyone know for sure? Right now, we have early seating at Mama Melrose's for the first showing of Fantasmic. However, if we can walk around after the second showing of Fantasmic, we wouldn't have to go to the first show and eat dinner at 4:10!

Yes they will let you walk through after the last showing of Fantasmic. Technically the park will be closed, but a few CMs will lead the crowd from Fantasmic to the lights. We've seen them a couple of times like this and it was great! You end up missing the bus crush too. :)

OMG you have all made me day!!! I went last year and they weren't up for the first time in like forever!!! I am so excited that they will be up this year!! Thanks for making me day!

The light show is wonderful. The glasses are amazing, each year they seem to be different. When you put them on and look at the lights, you will see an outline of an angel or a snowflake...depends on the glasses. Have fun!

And as for the question as to wether the park will be crowded for the first day of viewing...more than likely, YES. But still very enjoyable, the crowds don't matter when you are looking at lights. ENJOY!!

I was wondering if you could see them after fantasmic. Now that I know, I'm even more excited. Last year there was none and now I get to see them.:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

When is the first day of viewing?

Can't wait! My dh is going to be so excited when I tell him!!! This and the new Stitch ride!!!Whoo Hoo:bounce:
