Hi.
Can anyone please tell me the name of a reliable taxi service that will be able to pick me up at Orlando Train Station, let me make a grocery run and bring me to Orange Lake Country Club (which boarders Disney Property).
I will be traveling on my own and meeting my dh later that night so I will be by myself and want someone reliable.
Thanks so much!

Mears operates three taxi brands in Orlando: City Cab Company, Yellow Cab Company, and Checker Cab Company.

You wrote that you want to stop at a grocery store. Keep in mind that taxi fares are based on a meter, and the meter charges for wait time as well as mileage. For this reason, you might be better off with a livery service (commonly called a towncar service in Orlando), such as site sponsor FL Tours (see the top of this page). Livery companies charge a flat rate and often include a 20-30 minute grocery stop at no extra charge.

Of course, a tip for driver is appropriate regardless of whether you use a cab service or a livery service.

Your cheapest option is likely to be a 24-hour, one-way car rental, such as Hertz:

Orlando Downtown Amtrak
1400 Sligh Blvd
There is not a vehicle rental office at this location. This may require that the customer be taken to the nearby servicing location. Pick-up and/or drop off should be coordinated with the servicing location.
Orlando Florida 32806
United States
Phone: 407-730-8940 Fax: 407-872-0958
Location Type: Corporate
Hours of Operation:
Mo-Su 0930-1800

You could then return the car at the Hertz office on Highway 192 near Orange Lake Country Club, and Hertz will shuttle you back to Orange Lake:

Disney World Kissimee HLE
Address: 7471 West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway
Kissimmee (Kissimmee) , Florida
United States
Distance from Center: 5.09 mi
More Location Details
Phone: 407 396-2800
Hours of Operation:
0730-1700 7 Days
Location Type: Corporate

Thanks so much. I guess I should have said livery service. I do not want to rent a car. My dh will rent one when he arrives at MCO later that evening.
I don't want the hassle of renting/dropping off, being shuttled, etc.

I have used FL Tours for limos before and will look into that for a car service pick up. OLCC has a grocery store on site so this is where I will do a quick shopping.

Of course I would tip, not sure why you would think I needed to be told to do so :confused3 but thanks I guess LOL Living in NY, I tip just to walk in a building, buy my coffee or have someone bag groceries :upsidedow

Thanks for the suggestion about FL Tours. I didn't even think about using them and will give them a call tomorrow.
