This year we fly into Orlando on the Virgin flight. Can anyone tell me how long it will take to drive to I-Drive and if there are any toll roads?:confused3

We always go south out of the airprot down to the 417 (Central Florida Greeneway) and yes there are tolls, 2 of $1 each if memory serves correctly :)

hi,

yes there are 2 tolls, but cant quite remember how much they are:confused3

and from getting in the car to i-drive junction is about 20 mins.

The other option (and the one I prefer) is to head north out of the airport and take the 528 west-bound. This meets I-Drive between Seaworld and the Convention Centre.

The majority of hotels are north of the intersection although if your hotel is on Westwood Boulevard you'll need to go south.

528 is a toll road and you need about $2 in total.

just got back today :sad1:
2 x 75c is toll costs
I left airport via McCoy road onto Sand Lake, which eventually meets with I-Drive :)

this is also my preference - i find the beeline (528) much simpler to use....
also if i'm going to I4 and continuing to WDW...

Another vote for the 528.
We've used Hertz the last couple of times thanks to company discount and this takes you onto the 528 anyway.

Thats what we did - granted we were on the 192 rather than I Drive, but it's a nice easy road is the 417 to get you into (or back into) stateside driving.

There are a few $1 booths along the way, and i think there is probably a 50c booth on every exit (was definitely one at our exit at Celebration).

Make sure you have change tho as the 50c ones are unmanned
