A nickname my father gave me years and years ago. Falling and/or tripping was involved. The funny part is, Thomas isn't even my name or any part of my name. It's a long story and would bore the heck out of all of you.

My mother was a tomboy and wanted my nickname to be Mickey but I was a girly-girl from birth and no one ever called me Mickey. I figured I'd make her happy and use it as my screen name on the Disboards.

In 1999 when I joined this board I had an quirk of always needing to bounce my legs a little when seated. Kind of like Tigger likes bouncing, hence the name. Several years later was dx'ed with MS which was and still is causing a type of involuntary tremor.

I was more concerned about being identified 23 years ago. I used my license plate number as the ID, thinking it was just a login ID, and that I'd be able to choose a screen name later. No dice.

If he were around back then, I'd probably have chosen SandyPlankton as a name, as he's a big old troublemaker. Now I'm just content to "ruin Maw's birthday" in my tagline.

I was too into that old movie "Cruel Intentions" back in the day (also a Buffy fan so already a fan of SMG's work), and I thought the name sounded elegant. I have yet to see the new tv series.

Nowadays, if I had to pick a new username I would pick something different, I just don't know for sure what. Probably some derivative of Pumpkin Spice.
