ROFR Thread Jan to March 2026 *PLEASE SEE FIRST POST FOR INSTRUCTIONS & FORMATTING TOOL*

Awesome! Same here. We just closed on 50 points for AKV.

Is your plan to go every 2 years as well?
Our hope is to go every May when a studio is just 10 points per night since it's just my wife and I. And then every now and then go out to the West Coast and stay for a couple nights.

If we get the urge to save up for something really nice or feel like taking a year off the smaller contract is perfect so we can do that easily without having a lot of money coming out for dues.

I did just see a Reddit post where someone had a 100 point OKW contract at $80 per point get ROFR'd today so my hopes are increasingly small this one slides through.

I'm still new here, didn't realize we could put sent contracts without an answer in here until just now.

You and me are going to be twins, I just submitted a 50 point OKW contract to ROFR on 3/24 :) May the odds be ever in our favor.

How much per point did you send for?

My wife and I are honestly feeling pretty down today after seeing that $80 per point get eaten by Disney. We were so pumped yesterday too.

Fingers crossed both our contracts go through. Maybe the size of them will work in our favor?

It’s not just the cost; sometimes it’s the building too it is suspected. I wouldn’t worry yet! But OKW that expires in 2042 has long been a target as they want to flip those to 2057 points so they don’t have to deal with other issues that come alongside only half the resort expiring in 2042.

$112, so probably overpaid now looking at things, but I was stocked to get one fully loaded, same use year as we already have (september), and $100 less per point than Disney for 2057 expiration. Be careful though we started with a completely innocent 25 point OKW contract resale back in 2007. If we pass and close on this we will have 365 points.... addonitis is VERY real.

Its been a week for me today and I dont know how I feel. This is the most scared ive ever been for ROFR but I think its not affecting me as much because I already have points.

If mine gets taken, I really dont see the point in trying to negotiate another ssr at under $80 a point for however long that could take.

And I dont see myself buying a contract without a really good deal so I will probably just stay put until after aulani and see how we feel about that being a possibility.

I was going to post this observation in the Not-ROFR thread, but hesitated. Thanks for bringing it up. Every poster is free to do their own thing within the DISboards guildelines, but I'm not a fan of telling people the thing they just bought was a mistake unless they ask "Was this a mistake?"

Of course, the meta-conversation is that no one who said "This might be a mistake" asked if they should, so pot, kettle, etc. etc.
Thought it was a good life lesson.

Since you pointed it out, I catch myself doing it now. That’s a good thing. Never realized I did it let alone how much I was doing it.

We have a unique family situation and the last thing I want is someone giving me advice on how to handle something especially when I didn’t ask. So I thank you for that.

Dang! This has to include a Club 33 membership.
Joining the comma club with one contract (or maybe you're already there, and this is just more :-)). Either way - congrats!
I was thinking the same thing. Join the club in one shot!!

It’s our first, (and only haha!)

Just the wait now!
May all your Poly dreams come true! 🌴
Sounds like staying in a bungalow for a week!! (every year)

Agreed. If I were going to amass a larger amount of direct points like that, I think I’d do it incrementally in 300 point purchases and break them up into 150 point or smaller contracts. That’s effectively what I did with my 600 RIV points, although I did not pre-plan it - just decided my first 300 wasn’t going to be enough 🙂.
Thats what I’m thinking, I would definitely like to have some options, but I’m also in no way shape or form able to afford that amount of points anyway, so its not an issue. lol
Just for fun, I’d think 150x8 would be fun!!

Fair. I'll be honest; having that many PVB points would be totally awesome. I'm also sorry for offering advice if you weren't seeking it. But I do hope they make the best decision for them and know their legal rights at this stage.
Yea if no one else had said anything I would have at least made mention of other options and the actual value for THAT many points.

As I said before I’m just not that well off, so it’s out of my realm to even contemplate it, but if you got it like that, the risk is no big deal, so enjoy those points!! :thumbsup2
