I have heard that Honey Baked are very good, but I have never had one. I usually buy a Carrando Spiral sliced one myself. One year I bought a Cook's and I'll never do that again. Very salty and fatty.
I know this is the budget board.... and this can be a bit pricey.... but the best ham BY FAR that we have ever gotten is the honey spiral-sliced from Swiss Colony. I'm sure there's some sort of code available out there somewhere......
We always get ours through Harry & David. My mother says that you can cook up any meal the rest of the year, but she wants "her ham" on the holidays. I know I can surely find one cheaper, but at this point I don't dare mess with tradition.
Harrington's Ham - google it . This is by far the very best one. They have discount /coupon codes to get freebies , bacon , cheese with the purchase of a ham. Order early , supply is limited. One year , I ordered too late. It is not cheap , but , worth the splurge.
