Our trip is next week :cool1:We are celebrating my DDs 5th birthday (big surprise!) I would love to have something ordered to be delivered to our room during our stay. However, I looked up all of the Disney options and there is nothing there that really looks like what I would want (besides $65 for balloons is a bit much for me)

Are there any other options out there?? To order from and have delivered???

Ive been looking for great things for awhile: Cant wait to see what replies you receive.....Yes, I agree with your comment on the $65 balloon bouquet. Not gonna pay that for balloons...................

I looked into doing this for our first trip a few years ago and there is a fellow DIS member that makes gift baskets etc. to be delivered to your hotel room. Her website is/was: http://www.peggyssweetsandmore.com/

Or you can call any FTD florist in Orlando and they will deliver to your resort too. for a flower delivery.

Oh shoot - it doesn't look like that website works anymore.

sorry!!

Have you looked at Disneyflorist.com? They have a super cute in room celebration stuff. Well, at least I think it is! But, it is pricey. I want to do the grand gathering for my son, but I just haven't been able to justify it. :confused3

I always order off of disneyshopping.com (The Disney Store website, plus outlet), about a week before we leave. Have the shipping address in your name c/o your resort and resort address, and add your reservation # at the end of your name. I pick up the box when we check in at the front desk, and sneak out the goodies when nobody's looking. Get some really great deals and everyone loves their inexpensive Disney surprises. You can pack gift bags or something easy to present them in if you like from the dollar store. I have even hidden in the bathroom with my order and prepared it in there and hide it in a towel in the tub until I can put it out on the bed. Moms can be sneaky you know!!!;)

This is what I plan on doing for Christmas. I won a Disney Christmas cross-stitch pattern book off of ebay and I'm going to stitch a pattern onto a piece of fleece and turn it into a tied fleece blanket. I'm going to buy a cheap pre-lit small tree here and order a few Christmas things off of the disneystore.com site and set it all up myself while my mom is distracted. I'm going to set it up at our second hotel so I'll already have some pictures to put on an affordable digital frame.

Basically I'll be cloning/combining a few of the packages available here:

For your daughter's birthday, I'm sure you could do something just as great - if not better - than the Disney Florist stuff for much less money. :) You can always go out into the park and buy some different balloons to add to whatever you bring/ship to the hotel. When you order from the florist, its not set up until after you've checked into your room, so might as well save some money and set something up yourself. :)

I usually leave the resort maids a small daily tip and they will do amazing things to our room towels and will arrange my children's toys in very interesting ways.

Check out Memories By Betsy. She charges $28 for the first basket and $10 for each addition one, plus obviously the cost of the actual merchandise. She's the BEST!!! The baskets will be delivered directly to your room.

Here's the baskets she made for my kids and DH.

When I wanted to do surprises for the room ... I bought all of my gifts in advance and then I asked the front to deliver them on the days that I wanted them presented. It was great fun for my little girl and I got to pick out gifts that were nice but not too expensive. The main thing is to proactive in telling the cast members that you are celebrating.

We ordered from Disney florist. You don't have to choose their packages, you can choose only the items you want. We sent mouse ears, a stuffed Mickey Jedi and a balloon. It was a huge hit and cheaper than the package they offered.

Feralpeg is now operating from a new website. http://www.pixiedustoccasions.com/ She took some time to work at disney florists and has returned to working on her own. Alot of dis members love her work and find her to be wonderful to work with. :thumbsup2

I buy a bunch of goodies at the Disney Store (or wherever), pack them up, and ship to the resort. The post office sells really cute boxes that are all decorated with Disney characters.

Great thread! I was looking for baskets/gifts for Valentines' Day. Anymore suggestions?

I've been stashing a bunch of stuff to take with me and making gift bags. Once room is ready I'm going to send the girls to have a snack and put the bags out. When we all get back look what mickey left.
