I am sorry if this is a duplicate post but when I went to submit my post, I got logged off.

Can children order from the lunch menu when sitting down for dinner? or can they order from the children's menu if they are over 9. I am traveling with an 11 and 12 year old in July. I'm not sure where to take them for dinner. As I look at a lot of the menus, there doesn't seem to be anything that they would eat. How can Disney expect children to eat adult portions?

From what I see and understand the lunch menus have certain times you can order from, but I guess it never hurts to ask…..

yes you can usually order off the kids menu. The wait staff has always been very good about that with our older son who is picky.

You can order from the kids menu, but at that age you will be using adult dining credits to pay for the meal. You can pay cash for the kids meals and save the credits. Any adult in your party can use them.

I asked disney the same question b/c I have an 11 year old. While I would rather encourage her to try new stuff, it is nice that she has a fallback. Disney told me that she could order off the kids menu but that it would be a larger portion b/c we paid for adult meals. Hope this helps
