I didn't watch the show but I saw the program on the website and decided to give it a go.
I printed out some info from Oprah.com and made an excel spreadsheet for my workouts ( I also like to cross off stuff

) and I just started on Monday.
My story: I've always been about 10-15 pounds overweight, no big deal. On my 25th birthday, I quit smoking and soon gained about 10 pounds, no big deal. Then in my mid twenties, I was diagnosed with Lupus. I was taking steroids for almost 2 years to control the pain, I gained 42 pounds in less than 2 months...BIG DEAL! Since then, I have tried everything to lose some of the "lupus" weight and nothing has helped. I tried Atkins before it got popular and lost about 15 pounds but then I started having tummy problems so I had to get off Atkins. Weight came back on immediately.
I bought an Elliptical and started working out again about 4 weeks ago, I've lost 5 pounds so far and then I saw the bootcamp program so I thought that would help me out.
Exercise: I am going to stick to the plan completely! I feel like I have finally found my motivation (where the heck has it been all this time???

) and I am going to do it this time. I do the cardio on my elliptical and I just bought some free weights. I am doing the strength training with 8 lb weights like the Oprah people did (oh my dod! I thought I was going to die the first day!)
Today was my double up workout day and I followed the instructions to a tee, holy crap! Oprah was right when she said you will sweat!!!
NO wonder John Travolta looks so good! (not my type but even I have to admit he looks good for a guy his age!)
For the first time, I am actually looking forward to my workouts now! What a difference!! (I remember making every excuse in the book to get out of my workouts!

)
Diet: I am following it the best I can, the only exception is bread, but in limited quantities. No junk food whatsoever and making better choices wherever I go.
I won't be weighing in with you guys every week as the scale is my worst enemy (if I don't lose, I get very discouraged and I lose SLOWLY so I know that there may be weeks when I don't lose anything!) but I will read all your weigh ins and all your posts.
Good luck everyone!
