Hi Everyone, Ok what I already have down is my dd and I are staying at the Allstars Movies Resort and are going down April 2003. I was originally going for a preferred room but switched to standard and for the difference of $37.00 added another night onto our stay so now we're staying for 8 nights instead of 7 :Pinkbounc

Ok here's the dilemma do we add the day onto the end of the trip which would be Sunday the 27th of April which also happens to be my dd's birthday. If I did this I would have to keep her home from school that Monday OR

should I stick with adding on the Friday April 18th before Easter when she's off already from school. Let me make it clear that it doesn't really matter too much to have her miss the one day of school but I'm trying to figure out schedule wise which would be the best option.

What does everyone do when they add an extra night?

if it was me I would do it at the end of the trip so I could be there to celebrate my DDs BD in Disney, just my 2 cents. :D

I have to say go with the end of the trip too. Also by that Sunday you should notice a significant drop in the crowds, particularly in MK(which would be MY choice as a place to spend my B. Day). And do not forget a special place to celebrate! Chef mickeys is great for breakfast or dinner. Also we had lunch in the castle for my daughters B.Day 2 years ago and they set her a special place with Mickey confetti and a special dessert. Go for it !! It will be a Birthday Day to remember! Joan:smooth:

Definately at the end. My dd celebrated her 4th birthday on the Disney Wonder. We have so many great memories of that trip anyway and her birthday just added to that. Our other 2 children were so jealous, they want to go on their b-day's as well.

Add it to the end of your trip. I have taken my DD for her b-day 2x to WDW & 1x to DL & it is great fun to celebrate your b-day at Disney.

My DD turned 12 this last August & we were there to celebrate. She took surfing lessons @ Typhoon Lagoon, received her b-day button @ MK Town Hall, had her hair cut @ MK (received lots of pixie dust), had her face painted in Mickey's Toon Town & then had a late b-day lunch @ 50s Prime Time Cafe. It was a great day for her & for me.

Have a great vacation!

I too got a great deal and was able to add a night. I added it to the end of the trip and it actually decreased my plane fare as well since I'm returning mid week now!!!

End of the trip. She will always remember where she was for her ? birthday. Have a great trip.

Thanks everyone for all of the great advice but my problem really is that if I add the day to the end of the trip Sunday it'll be my dd's birthday and then we'd have to travel on that day which means packing, checking out, getting to the airport, flying, etc. etc. I asked her last night what she preferred and she said she wants to be home on her birthday with the rest of our family so I guess she's made up my mind for me although I kind of wish we could have worked it out to celebrate her actual birthday at Disney.

Oh well we'll be celebrating it anyway on Friday or Saturday or both days

;)

I would definately do it at the end. You might be able to save on air fare doing it that way also. Besides, there's nothing like spending your birthday in Disney!

We always add out extra day at the beginning of our vacation, but we stay at Fort Wilderness Cabins. Then we check in at our regular resort early the next morning...that way we get a full day with our passes that day.
