opinions on garden grill character dinner?

The tables are not all booths. There is another level which is slightly higher on the inside of the circle of outer booths. You go up a few steps to get there. There are tables on this level with 4 chairs, also in a circular set up. The view is maybe not as great as the lower level for looking at the scenes from the boat ride down below, but it is still the same great character interaction. Have fun!

Normally I'd say CM because we love the breakfast there, but with that 7AM time, go with GG. It's fun and the food is very good. Have eaten there 3 of last 4 visits.

I am pretty sure that the Garden Grill does not have characters any more - you may want to verify before you make any decisions...

The last time we were at Disney we had dinner at the Garden Grill. Everyone had a great time. The kids were occupied by the sites of the revolving restaurant between visits from the characters. The food and the service were both good. It is nice that it is served family style so everyone can help themselves to what they want. When I called to place my ADR, I was told to ask for the childrens food and they will also bring out foods that my son would enjoy. Based on that, we are planning to eat there this visit also.

When I scheduled, I was told that the usual characters are Mickey, Pluto, Chip'n Dale. They have discontinued their lunches as of last fall, but they do still have characters.
