Ok everyone, since I am a newbie at all of this (I'm hoping its not too late to make any ressie changes), I need your opinions.

My DH, DD7, DS6 & I will be going to WDW in June. We went with the dining plan. Here's our sit-down itinerary:

Sunday - Wolfgang Puck Cafe (7pm)
Monday - Character Buffet @ Crystal Palace (11:45am)
Tuesday - Sci-Fi Dine-In (4:55pm)
Wednesday - Mitsukashi Teppanyaki (5pm)
Thursday - Character Dinner @ Liberty Inn (5:55pm)
Friday - 50's Prime Time Cafe (11:50am)
Saturday - Ohana Breakfast (8:10am)

My son is a VERY picky eater, so I'm hoping each of these places will have SOMETHING that he'll eat.

So, what do you think?

They sound like great choices!!! The only one I have eaten at is Crystal Palace- it had a great kids selection and lots of deserts princess:

I am just curious, why did you pick the Wolfgang Puck Cafe?

I agree with Disney Family of Four. Wolfgang Puck gets far too many good reviews. A better Downtown Disney option is the Earl of Sandwhich. I would not recommend Liberty Tree Tavern for Dinner. The food is good, bu titt is not fabulous. Character meal is not a good description. You eat with the friends of Pocahontas.

While I agree with your assement of the food ...I must tell you that the characters have changed. Its Goofy's dinner, he is there with Minnie, Pluto, Chip& Dale. We would not go back to this one, but some people love it

The last poster was correct in saying that LTT at MK has the characters of Goofy, Chip & Dale, Pluto and Minnie Mouse. The theme is a colonial style inn that serves a tradional Thanksgiving style dinner: turkey, ham, flank steak, mashed potatoes, stuffing, mac & cheese, fresh veggies and dessert. My children thoroughly enjoyed this meal and I have to say I also thought it was quite good. I would definitely go back there since we enjoyed it so much.

I was originally going to schedule another character meal, but being that we are already going to 3 AND the following weekend is Father's Day, I decided to treat my husband to Wolfgang Puck. It's not everyday that we are able to eat in one of his restaurants.

While I know HE won't be doing any of the cooking, I knew my DH would appreciate it.

Ok....makes sense now. I was thinking that since this is your children's first trip why would you have their first dinner at WDW at Wolfgang Pucks. My choice would be CM for the kids. I know that you already have three character meals planned, but your children would love it. My children are the same ages and they always like to start off the trip with CM. They get to experience meeting Mickey, Minnie, Donald & Goofy without wasting a park ticket.

Have a great trip!!!

I've been to Wofgang Puck Express on the West Side and it was good! :)
I was supposed to be at Crystal Palace on my anniversary last year but the trip was cancelled. I hear great things about it though and I'm dying to get there.
Sci Fi has great atmosphere, decent food. You'll like it! :thumbsup2
Never been to Tappenyaki, but will probably visit next trip to satisfy DH's sushi kick.
Liberty Tree Tavern ( I assume this is what you're referring to ) is my least favorite place to eat, but I really think it had to do with the server we had. I won't go back.
50's Prime Time is a RIOT and they have GREAT food! You'll love it...prepare to behave yourself...or else! ;)
I had dinner at Ohana and it was good. I hear great things about the breakfast!

I'm a very picky eater, and I've always had no problem in WDW! Back home, that's another story!

Have a great first trip! :)

I am also doing wolfgang pucks cafe on the 1st night!

My little guy is not a huge character fan so i thought we'd start w/dtd on the first night.

i'm also hitting CM another night, Garden Grill and CP -- 3 character meals will be enough!!

I'm also going to try Sci-fi think the kids will get a kick out of it!

enjoy
