Opinions Needed: Blue Monorail

Hi All: Got the new limited edition (500) Blue Monorail from DisneyDirect. It's the one shown in the 50th anniversary catalog that's inserted in this month's regular Disney catalog. Cost including tax and shipping was abot $ 340. It's a great looking piece, BUT the electrical doesn't work. The front and rear lights and the dome light are supposed to light up.
Disney says they are all sold out and cannot replace, so I'm wondering if this is "hot" enough for me to keep. Thanks for any advice. - Steve
