This is the first family trip for us to Disney World. It will be me, dh, dd (age7) and ds (age 3). We are usually "fly by the seat of our pants" type people on vacation, so it is strange for me to be planning everything out. But, I have tried to have the ADRs match with the parks that we will be in or at least be convienent. I know a lot of you here are experts, so I thought I would ask for opinions before I have to call and make the reservations on Monday. We will be on the dining plan.

We will be driving from Pittsburgh, PA- making more than 1/2 of the trip on Friday and finishing on Sat, and we are camping at Fort Wilderness, so:

Sat- we won't arrive until afternoon, and then there's time to get the camper set up and organized, so dinner at WCC at WL (I am guessing that this is the closest resort to the campground). Then, not sure what we will do that night- head to a park for a few hours or DTD.

Sun- MK with breakfast at CRT

Mon- MGM/DS with lunch at Sci-Fi

Tues- breakfast at Chef Mickey's and then on to Epcot

Wed- AK with dinner at O'hanas (then most likely to DTD in the evening)

Thurs- Epcot with dinner at Le Cellier (it will be our 15th wedding anniversary this day)

Fri- MK with lunch at CP

Sat- get up, pack, check out and leave for the long drive home

Any thoughts or opinions would be appreciated! If something doesn't seem like it would work, let me know.

We'll be at MK same day. That's our 12th wedding anniversary! Personally, I wouldn't have early meals that are so heavy in August unless I was planning for a midday break at resort. Otherwise, they look good.

The only one I might consider changing is Sci Fi. We ate there once, nothing special. We like 50s PTC for atmosphere and food. All your others look great.

If you're feeling tired that first night, you could do Trail's End Buffet, which is right at Fort Wilderness.

We go to Sci Fi every trip because DS13 loves it. Be forwarned, however, the first time we went, he was about 8, and some of the hokey sci fi clips actually scared him. If you feel your kids are frightened easily, keep this in mind.

Also, your Wed. will work our nicely transportation-wise, if you are NOT planning on going back to FW. AK, bus to Poly, bus to DTD, bus to FW. But if you plan on going back to FW for a rest after AK, you'll have to take the boat to Cont., then monorail to Poly. Or boat to MK, then boat/monorail to Poly. Just a thought.

Have a great trip!
