Opening ING acct for KIDS

I've opened one for myself and have now "referred" each of my dd's for their own by sending the referral to my own email address. When I go to open accounts for each of them do I need to open them as "joint" accounts or can it be in their own name and no one else's? BTW, they are 7 and 3.

It has to be a joint account since the are so young ~ it will then list them under your account info if you are the joint holder

Make them the primary owner and you as the joint owner - I also made the pin numbers all the same (so I'd have less to keep track of!) - then when you log into your account, theirs will be on your screen as well.

In the terrible event that something happens to them, you want to be able to access whatever funds are in there. Plus it makes it easy to deposit $$ into their account by electronic transfer!
