We've been on the Fantasy two out of our last three cruises and now want to go back to the classics. Our next cruise will be on the Magic, which will be the first for us on her since her re-imagining.

The classics are still our favorite. There is so much brass and steal and LED lighting and bells and whistles on the cruise lines as they build them bigger and better. Having just been on the gigantic Breakaway (biggest ship for us so far), we really missed the intimacy of the smaller ships!

That is absolutely ridiculous. We are 2A/2C (13 & 11yo as well) sailing that itinerary 3/18/2017 in a category 5B for less than $6K.

I thought it was ridiculous even before I saw your post revealing the $2K price increase over 2017 fares. We didn't book it.

I think the excitement level may vary depending on certain factors. It seems the April '18 WPBC is selling out extremely fast. 5C and 6A completely gone by noon Thursday. Not too sure about the rest of the 5's either at this point.

For us - a lot of little reasons but they add up. Castaway Cay stop / Costa Rica / Panama - new locks / Westbound / Dates work.

Yes they have been to Costa Rica before. Once in 2011.

The Vista is designed so much better then the Fantasy I've lost all desire to sail on the Fantasy again. I do like DCL's smaller ships. I wish cruiselines would build some ships this size instead of the megaships. It would be nice to sail on a brand new medium sized ship once in a while.
