The ports when first posted on this site were different than they are now.

No, they are the exact same ports that were there Tuesday. If you mean that they are in a different order, I listed them exactly as they are listed on the brochure. If the port order is important to you when looking at the opening day prices, then perhaps this isn't the thread for you because I make up the list based on the DCL brochure that was released. That takes long enough to compile as it is.

There's no way I'd pay Fantasy spring break prices. YIKES. Looks like we are going to be heading back to St. John in Summer 2016 for a land trip once again!

What is a secret ver?

There are four verandahs -- two on deck 7 and two on deck 6 (port and starboard on each) that used to be priced as regular verandahs, but complaints were made about the "obstructed" view (which is really a few inches of metal curving down one side and affects nothing). So Disney changed their pricing to navigator's verandah, even though in reality they are full open verandahs. It's a real deal when you can get one.

I was looking at the pricing for the repo and then this cruise and the pricing for the 1/10/16 Southern in a 9C or 9D looked very low. So I checked the summary post to see what prices were there and then looked for the original posting.

If you were to move to a 9C for this given scenario, it would only be $2,942.48 (pricing w/o any OBB). That is $560 LESS than an inside cabin and you get a window.

Looking at the 9B pricing, it would be up to $4,006.48. That is the same deck, just mid-ship. For $1,064, I'd move forward.

Just wanted to alert anyone who is looking for this cruise and wouldn't mind a 9C. This looks to be a steal at the present time (8:00 a.m. CDT).

Not sure if this is where it is supposed to be or if DCL will be adjusting this one. Good luck.


ETA: Maybe it is DCL's pricing set up as 1/24 and 1/31 have the 9B - 9D priced LOWER than the Inside cabins.

I just looked up that week on cruisefish.net and the pricing just about the same for MLK week in both 2015 & 2016 for verandah categories, but the others seem to be lower by at least $80pp for the 1st & 2nd passenger.

I just booked 2 9B rooms and placed them on hold........ I went back to check pricing and the prices went up $500 a room. Looks like it may have been a mistake. Wow!

We booked yesterday at the reduced rate of 1737.00 for two Adults. I started with 9B because we always book that and she gave me the rate. I asked what it would be to bump up to a 9A and she said 2787.00.

I even said "wow $1000 to bump up to an A"?? I knew that didn't sound right and she said well that is what you are getting 9B for. So I promptly booked a second room for my sister who was at work and couldn't call. We got connecting rooms right smack in the middle of Deck two where I like it. Thank goodness my sister was also Gold so she could book for her while I had the CM on the line.

Do you think they will try and tell us they made a mistake? It looks fixed now since to book the same category is now 2600. Is this pixie dust or are we going to be very sad/mad if they call us to change it?

why would the fantasy cruise sailing from 30th april 7 nights be more expensive that some of the ones leaving early april in 2016?i noticed sprain break is first two weeks in april so i would have thought this cruise would have been quieter?am i missing something?

yes i know easter is early in 2016 so i assumed the week or so after easter would be busy and then april end-may would be a quieter time but looking at these prices i imagine not?
maybe it would be better for me now to wait and book in may?

"Spring break" varies widely. Yes, many schools have their break tied to Easter, but not all. Most schools in New England have a break in the latter part of April every year. I can't say if this is dictating DCL's pricing, but they obviously expect those weeks to be in higher demand, therefore the higher prices.

I don't see how they could get away with trying to make you pay the difference because they screwed up. If you have a confirmation and the price in writing, I don't think they can change it except only if the port fees go up!

When I called to transfer our OBB for the 2013 Fantasy cruises I was really disappointed that the June rates were over 6k. I asked the CM to check the kids' spring break week before Easter just to see how much worse it was and he said $2900 for a 9B. I asked if it was wrong would I have to pay more and he said no. I told him to book it ASAP and then I would ask about the other categories. It was only $3100 for a cat 4E so after the reservation was confirmed, he transferred it to that room. Lots of people were posting about those two weeks, along with a Thanksgiving cruise being glitched here on the pricing threads. Within 2 hours the price had been corrected, but all of us who booked it at the originally posted rate kept that pricing. We called the cruise meets thread the blue light special at first.
