** OPENING DAY PRICING 2016 Pt 1 January - April: Magic, Wonder, Dream, Fantasy **

We booked yesterday at the reduced rate of 1737.00 for two Adults. I started with 9B because we always book that and she gave me the rate. I asked what it would be to bump up to a 9A and she said 2787.00. I even said "wow $1000 to bump up to an A"?? I knew that didn't sound right and she said well that is what you are getting 9B for. So I promptly booked a second room for my sister who was at work and couldn't call. We got connecting rooms right smack in the middle of Deck two where I like it. Thank goodness my sister was also Gold so she could book for her while I had the CM on the line. Do you think they will try and tell us they made a mistake? It looks fixed now since to book the same category is now 2600. Is this pixie dust or are we going to be very sad/mad if they call us to change it?

We have been the recipients of a price glitch before (Fantasy, spring break week, $1800 got a 5A for two!) and they didn't change the price. I don't see how they can after you have booked it.

I don't see how they could get away with trying to make you pay the difference because they screwed up. If you have a confirmation and the price in writing, I don't think they can change it except only if the port fees go up!

When I called to transfer our OBB for the 2013 Fantasy cruises I was really disappointed that the June rates were over 6k. I asked the CM to check the kids' spring break week before Easter just to see how much worse it was and he said $2900 for a 9B. I asked if it was wrong would I have to pay more and he said no. I told him to book it ASAP and then I would ask about the other categories. It was only $3100 for a cat 4E so after the reservation was confirmed, he transferred it to that room. Lots of people were posting about those two weeks, along with a Thanksgiving cruise being glitched here on the pricing threads. Within 2 hours the price had been corrected, but all of us who booked it at the originally posted rate kept that pricing. We called the cruise meets thread the blue light special at first.

Thank you all! I feel better that they probably won't change our rate. Part of me is so disappointed in myself for not booking another room for my nephew and his wife who was only silver yesterday. The lady said I could split my husband and myself up and put each of them in our rooms. I should have done that because when they went to book this morning it was fixed.

My sister is grateful I booked her at that price yesterday. She is now offering to pay for my Nephew (her son) and his wife's airfare to San Juan to kinda take the sting off the new price. He and his wife are going on the Magic next week and will try and get the reservation "reshopped" to at least get a OBB and Discount. Hopefully the prices haven't gone too high by next week and they can get at least a 10% off of the new 2600 rate.

I'm just going to sit back and enjoy getting some Pixie dust!!
