Isn't one of THE MOST FRIGHTENING things in the world when you can see the car on the road ahead of you but you can't see the head of the driver?

OK, keeping it lighthearted, but why do short older folks drive such dang big cars? I followed a lady tonight for about 3 miles. She was driving a Grand Marquis. The only way I ever saw her head was when she made a LH turn and I could see her head through the side window!

There is no way she could see the whole road, I'm telling you.

Frightening, when you really think about it.

My mom used to have to sit on a phone book to see over the dash of our car when I was a kid. :sad2: Oddly enough, I still preferred riding with her than with my dad, who could see out the car but drove like a maniac! :scared1:

Ah..a case of the "phantom driver"...now try seeing that in front of you on a dark deserted road at 2am when you don't really know where you're going because you said... "we no need no stinkin' map"
