Open Tag Lines? or No More TFs?

I would prefer that we could change our tags and add colors to them on our own, but still allow the Tag Fairy to be able to add other tags at his/her will to do so. To me, that would be "the best of both worlds", to be able to change my tags and their colors but still have the hopes of the Tag Fairy adding something new somewhere down the line.

I really like my tag concerning the singing coming from my computer, but don't care at all for the cookie tag and I've wanted to replace it but I'm afriad of messing up the other tag so I just leave it alone. I've hoped for a new tag for awhile now...but sadly it hasn't happened.

I think if we were allowed to change our tags and use color ourselves it would take quite a lot of the pressure off the Tag Fairy and like someone else said there would be no more begging, clapping, etc.

I think it would cause an uprising far greater than the closing of the DB - because all debaters are allowed to vent their need to debate here on the CB but to not get to see pretty colors appear at a moment's notice under your avatar would remove the magic that is the DIS. I really have liked this part of the DIS since I first joined and prior to that as a lurker.

I think you are given quite a bit of freedom by being allowed to place your own tag under your screen name - leave the color for the Tag Fairies.

I guess I can finally answer the OP's original post and say yes, it would cause an uprising as big as the DB being closed. I guess I never saw it as a big DIS or CB thing, but I guess to others it is. Hmm. Interesting.

I don't mind the tag begging/clapping. If the TF doesn't like it, then the TF can ignore the beggars and not give them tags.

I was looking at your tag and could NOT figure out what was wrong with it. I went back and looked again..wondered if I was just not getting it... then I realized your tag had been fixed!!!!

Personally I'd like to change one of my tags, I don't care about the color. I don't have the hots for princess michelle...while she is a great girl, I haven't spoken to her. But I do have the hots for Evil Princess just because she likes Disney and Roller Coasters as much as me. Too bad she has to live on Long Island.

I think either way would work, but I wish I could get an update! My Tag says Brand New CM and that was given to me in April of 2002! I haven't worked at TDS in almost 2 years now! LOL!
