Open Port Orleans Already!-Opening OCT 14th & 28th!!!!

I can't believe POR/FQ is around $300 per night. Something must be up with the system online. I'm seeing a number of resorts, value and deluxe, sold out for certain dates.

I don’t think it’s the system, I think there are that many people going. It’s terrifying thinking about these crowds in Nov! It looks like as soon as a resort open it fills. A few are still not open, like All Star Sports.

I know that CBR was sold out for the dates that we had booked (10/26 - 11/06). I'm glad we switched to POR, although chances are it's going to get pretty booked up as well...

I check what resorts are available for my dates almost every day because I'm a nerd. Lol. This afternoon is the first time I've seen CBR availability in MONTHS. I guess lots are jumping ship over to PO. ;)

I'm also noticing All Star Music was open early this morning but is now completely booked. That was fast!

I'm a DVC member but we're one night short on our December trip so when I read the reopening news I just had to grab a night at POFQ. I loved it there on our June 2015 trip so even if I'm not successful in obtaining the DVC resort and accommodation I seek, I'd be very excited to stay at POFQ again.:cool1:

I have my fingers crossed for CBR. I’ve also been stalking the reservation system daily. For awhile, my only choice was a CSR tower suite for $910 a night!

Have POR for Thanksgiving week. As far as pricing, it’s $398 a night with tax. Ouch, that’s a painful reality! We paid less than that at Beach Club last family trip.

I may come to my senses and cancel, but I love WDW in the fall.

Anyone know when Christmas decorations go up?

Disney usually starts putting Christmas decorations up in the beginning of November, but by Thanksgiving week most if not all the Christmas decorations should be up at all the resorts and parks.

I want to book for a few nights in Oct 22, but I'm visiting in Oct 2021 and want to try the buyback discount. Any advice on if availability will wait that long?

Could I book it now and then recheck with the buyback in Oct?

I was anticipating that as well, as I had to drop my CBR reservation because of shifting days and availability and have been holding pop in anticipation of the PO resorts re-opening. I spent a good chunk of time yesterday checking the dates, and was finally able to nab a preferred room, but it was the only one that popped open the whole day. I know it’s a busy week in Feb, but I was still hopeful there would be more movement. Based on the excitement level on the boards here I was sure I would have my pick of room!

Wow - $300 for off season rates......

I love the resort, but can stay at a DVC resort with rented points for $200.
