I really need to finish some work tonight, but I had connection issues and now I don't feel like working, and now I am planning on going on early tomorrow.

Kay, Sid isn't from England, but she has a friend from there who she refers to as "British Coffee"! She lives on the left coast.

I'm just saddin' that I likes me some Borged out Maelstromming friends. My co-workers all look at me strangely when I say things like CARP! or PUFFER! But that only makes me chuckle all the more.

They probably don't even know what a Fastpass is. But that just makes me feel said for them. I love the fact that I know that WT stands for Wheat Thins, and that I'd really wear a LYMI pin!

And let me just say how interesting it is to me, in general, that the DIS boards have so many lawyers on them. Has anyone else noticed this???

Steph, those were some great observations! I had to visit Mr. Google to find out where your quote was from, even though I knew I had heard it before!

I think when I do my next batch of shout-outs I will try to placate detroitdad. I've never heard of him. Maybe some of you have. While I think he's making a mountain out of a molehill, I understand where he's coming from, so maybe I can address his gripes in a tactful way. Some of the "cool people" trip report writers do make subtle inside jokes based on each other's reports. I really don't see anything wrong with that. If you read all of their reports, you too "get" the jokes. And if you don't read them all, I guess the jokes go over your head, which is no big deal. But this guy feels it's cliqueish, and from his perspective, and perhaps other people's too, I guess it may appear that way. And he's right that some of the writers only post on a couple other people's threads. Which is their right. Maybe they're busy and don't have time to read and post on a bazillion reports. But I can see where that also could be perceived as cliqueish. It surprised me that this whole issue bothered him so much. It sounded like in the past he had been personally overlooked or snubbed somehow.

Of course I find it flattering that he thinks the "Greats" should notice me and read and post on my thread. It means a lot when people who like to write, and who are good writers, read my work. They have more discriminating taste. That's why I really appreciate that YOU people have taken the time to read my "story," because I count you among the discriminating reader bunch. The only person I have ever asked outright to read my report (as far as I can recall) was LaLa. I think she's funny and I thought she would enjoy my brand of humor. I never heard back from her. Not a "can't be bothered" or "I'll check it out if I get time." Nothing. So be it. Maybe she will read it eventually. Maybe she already has. Whatever.

BTW, celery I noticed you posted on Zzub's report that he should go read mine. You are such a sweety to promote me! Maybe I should hire you as my agent! But I hope he won't think I set you up to that!

I spent an hour in there with a new mystery I got from the library today. The book just happens to take place where I live! Pretty cool! I can't believe how the author has all the facts right. Right down to street names and directions. It's really cool.

Chad tried to give me a beach day to make up for us not going on our trip next week. I didn't take that so well...

We haven't spoken in hours...however it is the first time, like ever that it's my fault and I'm the one who needs to apologize. Once in 7 1/2 years is good right?

I am way happy tonight and then comes tomorrow.....I am happy that my poor mil is leaving that horrible hospital and going to the rehab unit in the same area as my mom......I am almost happy about that........but then my mom who can really be stinky will be sitting next to my MIL who can be very quiet and not say a darn thing.....she is the quiet one and my mom is the mouth......

I am sitting here eating not good for me snack.......oh well.......then tomorrow is another day and I will eat properly.........

Ya know it took me a few months to figure out what a borge was......I mean I could not tell......I am still a little off on it but I will figure it out someday.....

The people on this thread are not a clique......clique are people who discriminate against others and do not include everyone.......I think this is a clique for the world to come and join in......what a wonderful clique this would be.......already is actually...

I read a book that was about here too, you can visualize excatly what they are saying which is cool. 71/2 years that is pretty good, now you are good for another 7 That's what I like about your posts you are so real about how you feel.

Eventually I will have one of me, and of Lowell, in our report so you can see what your "twin sister" looks like. I am like a fine oil painting. I look best from a distance.
