Open Mike Night - Everyone is Welcome

I love the word Craptastic! Who coined that phrase?
Please post pics of your cookies. Virtual cookies have no calories. :rotfl:

That would be one Bart Simpson in response to Homer's Christmas Light display on their home it was really "Craptacular" which morphed into common slang, "Craptastic". I'm full of it! ;)

Psssst!! It's me, Toot Sweet!! :ssst:

Ahh. I do love to "learn something new everyday." Thanks.:teacher:

HI friends!

Toots, sorry you had a craptastic day. Those cookies look Yummy!

I had a stressful week with forecast due today and the new system, which once again failed to give timely actuals :badpc: . But got it done in time and got a note tonight from the reviewing manager that everything was "Perfecto". Whew! Couldn't say that last month. But live and learn, I added some tools and reports to help with checking things for this month.

Anyway, I am rewarding myself by taking tomorrow off. :cheer2: :cheer2:

I think a manicure and a pedicure and a haircut and an oilchange are on the plan for this weekend.

Wow, Marita.....your day off tomorrow sounds like my cup of tea!! :coffee: Hope it's a great time!!

Toots, remains to be seen if I get all that done, LOL. The oil change may have to wait....

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: This sounds like one of those children's games: "Which one of these things is NOT like the others. You're going to have a manicure, pedicure, haircut, and an oil change. Hmmm. Have you been eating a lot of greasy foods lately?

Kay, see Toot's reply, I have my priorities in order :)

I'm still not sure you're reading it the way I did. As the list was all personal items, I read it that you were getting YOUR oil changed, not the car's oil changed. Never mind. It's the writer/editor side of me breaking out. I have a daffy sense of humor. But you already know that. ;)

She does have that certain "Wessonality" !!!!! :rotfl: HA-HA!

Marita- Let us know how the beautification comes out! I am so jealous. I have to do my own pedicures because I'm rediculously ticklish. You cant even go near my feet.

If any of you have time to read a trip report (no not mine, although I never turn away a reader) check out "bunnysmum."

Bunny & Mommy Goin' On Vacation, Sunshine & Ice Cream All Day Long

She is really a very good writer. She's good with a clever turn of phase. She's witty and interesting and has a really cute daughter. She deserves a greater number of readers. I can feel a little of her frustration that she's "entertaining" a small audience. I hope more people find her. Tell her "Kay sent you."

Kay, I'd change my body oil if I knew where the drain is, LOL!

Uma, my mom says I should get a facial every month, cause my cousin does it! And mom says I really need it....... And if my cousin does it, so should I, cause she is better than me.... (you want some cheese with that whine?).

I think I need something more drastic than a facial though, so it's not so high on my priority list.

howdy .......just returned from doing our Thursday night ritual......first the HOME and then grocery shopping......I know this is not nice but I was wishing for a cold this week.......and I felt one coming on ....so monday tuesday and wednesday we did not go to see his mama at the HOME.....I thought I may spread a germ......I guess what it was .....was just pure tired.....we go every single night except maybe once during a month ...and that doesnt happen very often. Now you know why we look forward to our excape to Disney....its not that I dont love my Mom and MIL but by 8 o clock each night we get home and then pass out......long day......had to do my moms groceries too.....his mom is 90 and my mom is 92......I know MARIE STOP CRABBING..
Hubby and I went out for supper and I just tested at 113....so not bad at all......for all I ate.....no fried and not alot of carbs........YIPPEE.......

So, Uma and Pumba, I guess foot reflexology would be out of the question for both of you! :lmao:

I have reflexology once a month. I'm not ticklish, but my legs usually get a little twitchy toward the end from the nerve stimulation.

Marita - You SHOULD go try a facial. No need to tell your mom. It would be fun to try something new.

Hmmm . . . wonder what Twinkie and Nab were up to today. Does anyone remember if they travel home tomorrow or Saturday? It will be cool if they get to meet in the airport.

Me too! Did I mention I am taking tomorrow off? Sorry for rubbing it in....

I think Nab and Twinkies meet day is Feb 3, which is Saturday, but I won't swear to it.

Moo, my mom WANTS me to get facials, my point was that I think it's pointless, LOL.

I used to go to a reflexologist when I was having problems with a couple inflamed discs, and sciatic pain. He did me more good than a chiropractor. The man also incorporated deep tissue massage and various other techniques and worked on me for an hour per session. Some of the things he did hurt at the time but it really did help me. I used to call him "The Witch Doctor" :rotfl2: because some of the science behind reflexology etc. seemed rather bizarre to me.

The only part that kills me with a pedicure is when they take the sponge with the scrub stuff and scrub the bottom of your feet.

Other than that, pure pleasure.........

Yeah, yeah, rub it in!

My thought was that you shouldn't discount having a facial just because your mom thinks you should have one. One of my friends swears by them. She feels really pampered, not to mention her skin looks great afterward.

They'd need a belt sander for my feet! :rotfl:

Mine, too! :lmao:
