Marita you have a hard day at work. You must have if you are willing to babysit kids that haven't been out of the house in awhile.

--

Yes, please send me kids, anything but work!!!! I'm sure I can find some games around............ Dre doesn't even have to pay me!

Pumba, how exciting for your granddaughter. And the other grandkids sound like a great joy too.

Dre, the trees here still have ice on them, but the roads didn't get bad enough to cancel school. Sorry to hear that you have cabin fever!

It sure has been cold here the last couple days. Cars are still driving around with ice on them. I'm ready for spring after getting a little taste of warm weather at WDW!

how about this one.....TOWN WITHOUT PITY by Gene Pitney

When you're young and so in love as we
And bewildered by the world we see
Why do people hurt us so
Only those in love would know
What a town without pity can do

If we stop to gaze upon a star
People talk about how bad we are
Ours is not an easy age
We're like tigers in a cage
What a town without pity can do

The young have problems, many problems
We need an understanding heart
Why don't they help us, try and help us
Before this clay and granite planet falls apart

Take these eager lips and hold me fast
I'm afraid this kind of joy can't last
How can we keep love alive
How can anything survive
When these little minds tear you in two
What a town without pity can do

How can we keep love alive
How can anything survive
When these little minds tear you in two
What a town without pity can do

No, it isn't very pretty what a town without pity

Thanks Pumba! Can I quit and move to the Villages now and drive a golf cart? Nothing major at work, just bored!

Here's another one for you, Marita! I LOVE the Chorus!!!

Pity Party
By Brenda Sutton
© 1994

I coulda been a contender if life hadn't dealt me dirt
I woulda been a giant among men
if my genes hadn't made me a female squirt
I mighta built me a dynasty if taxes weren't so high
I coulda woulda shoulda but I didn't didn't didn't
So no one will care when I die. (Sigh)

Chorus:
Wallow, wallow, wallow,
Wallow, wallow, wallow
Boo hoo hoo pout cry sniff
(sniff)
-Repeat

I woulda made the Olympic Team if I'd only learned how to skate
I shoulda married Sean Connery but I was born two decades too late
(and I hate haggis)
If Sally Fields can win an Oscar, I know I coulda done it too
If I hadn't done the things I did with my life,
there's no telling what I could do

Chorus

Break:
It's not my fault I turned out like this, you mustn't criticize
But Saturn has been retrograde since my birth
and the sun's been in my eyes
Waah, waah, waah, waah!

I woulda made a great dancer but I was born with two left feet
You mustn't mind my bad temper, I'm PMS and I eat too much red meat
In spite of all my short comings, I think I'm doing fine
I've accomplished an awful lot in my life
for someone who's out of her mind.

Chorus

omg I am an old poop ......just like I thought.......but it was a good song back way way way long ago:lmao: :cool1:

Moo you described my car. The kids think it looks neat. I told hubby it is like a sunburn and you peel the skin off. Well that is what the kids have been doing with the car. When they get a big piece off they get excited.

I just found out Hubby doesn't know how the wash machine works. Well that isn't true it was his before we met. He forgot :confused3 . It went off balance and he ran down to fix it and didn't know what button shut it off.:scared1:

Dre- Sorry, I knew that y'all had ice and freezing weather, I forgot. Hard to keep boys from getting cabin fever!

It's darn cold here (for me) ranging from 5-25 degrees. I have my heater set at 74 degrees.

Sorry Guys, Norah wants a turn at the Mic:

The Snowman Song:
(arms big overhead)
Once there was a snowman, snowman, snowman.
Once ther was a snowman tall, tall, tall.
In the sun he melted, melted, melted, (arms going lower...)
In the sun he melted,
small small small (lie on the ground).

Ok, I know it's only 7:30, but Im going to go to bed.
Got the "Go-bloops" (a fictional disease from what 1950's sitcom)

Maybe even a nice case of the Gomboo.
That's what I get for taking care of my sick family last week.

:grouphug: Marita!!! Sorry you feel blue... but the theme of this winter is "no matter how rough a day you had I am sure Twinkie had a day just as challenging"

for sure.

Seriously, my day would have be a great comedic montage setting the stage for some movie whereupon the main character does something like drive off a cliff at the end ... Murphy's law was in force. I mean it was SO bad that it was actually funny- even in the moment. I felt like I was trapped in a country song too!

Oh, Uma - so sorry you're feeling carpy tonight.

Marita - Just thought I'd share my MSN horoscope with you. Has something about jobs in it, LOL! I won't describe how I feel after sitting in a meeting from 9 am - 6 pm today with only a half hour for lunch (had to eat lousy cafeteria food to boot). The other half hour was spent caucusing.

Sometimes it is easiest to attend to the small, mundane details of life rather than lifting your eyes to the horizon to see the big picture. It is likely, for example, that you have allowed yourself to become complacent at work. Could it be that you are not at the right job or in the right career after all? Busying yourself with trivia is no way to avoid the question. Better to face it head on and make the necessary changes. It is imperative that you do so, dear Cancer.

wow, Moo, very insightful. I have been thinking the same.

night everyone .....its six below zero now and that is enough for me to get in my nice warm waterbed.....better wake up the old man he is snoring on the floor beside me......with Megara close :goodvibes

Ok, I know it's only 7:30, but Im going to go to bed.
Got the "Go-bloops" (a fictional disease from what 1950's sitcom)

It wouldn't have been one that stared another redhead would it?;)

And I know that you only saw it in re-runs:rolleyes:

Take this job and shove it
I ain't working here no more

I will not get all the pieces
I've been working for
Paper cups, minimum wage
Just walk on out the door
Take this job and shove it
I ain't working here no more
Take this job and shove it
I ain't working here no more
I will not get all the pieces
I've been working for
Paper cups, minimum wage
Just walk on out the door
Take this job and shove it
I ain't working here no more

They'll have you in this factory
From now on for fifty years
All this time I see my woman
Drowning in her tears
I see a lot of people who
Got to have a piece of me
I'd give the shirt right off my back
If I had the nerve to say

Take this job and shove it
I ain't working here no more
I will not get all the pieces
I've been working for
Paper cups, minimum wage
Just walk on out the door
Take this job and shove it
I ain't working here no more

Let's all go use our sick leave up
And then we'll shoot some pool
Got brand new skinhead hair cuts
You think he's a fool
One of these days I'll blow my top
Or somebody's gonna pay
I'd hate to see the process
As you enter the factory and say

Take this job and shove it
I ain't working here no more
I won't let that **** bother me
That I've been working for
Paper cups, minimum wage
Just walk on out the door
Take this job and shove it
I ain't working here no more

Take this job and shove it
I ain't working here, ain't working here, ain't working here no more

Now that song I do know Joe.

I am sure that is how Marita feels today:lmao:

Twinkie sorry to here you had yet another bad day. I wish the ticker said no days just for you. You need to go to a happy place. Just stay away from Marita's unhappy place.

UMA hope your not getting sick. Don't breathe on the keyboard I only have 9 days left.
