Open Mike Night - Everyone is Welcome Part 3

Twinkie - I liked Caleb. Chad hated it. He wanted Kaleb. I finally said, "okay" since he wouldn't come up with anything except African-American names to tick me off. I'm not in love with Jude, but I'll take anything he puts with Noah. Too bad he has 8 months to change his mind.

I like Noah too Mommy P.

Do you have a girl name too?

Marita is it hot today? It was colder then yesterday and we are getting rain now. Send me some warm weather please!!!

Nab - We've had a girl name FOREVER. It has changed a bit. It started as Ellie Claire, then it was Ellie-Claire(said all together) Now it's evolved into Elisabeth Claire, but we'll only call her Ellie or Ellie Claire(we use middle names a lot). The Elisabeth part is part family name and part keeping it in the Bible. LOL! Once Twinkie told me Ethan was in the Bible I couldn't stop. But, it could change back to just Ellie Claire. Who knows.

That is cute Mommy P.

Good TV night and I am going out to see "Meet the Robinsons" the kids have free passes that we have from the cereal boxes. You can only use it from Sunday to Thursday. And they end May 17th. We have a lot to use up.

Nab,
free passes are awesome. I don't know what movies tickets cost elsewhere, but here it is $11 for adults! Enjoy the film and CSI :)

We should all post a pic of our bridesmaids dresses. Why do they always seem like such a good idea at the time? lol My bridesmaids wore dark purple. I still like that color, but the style seems so dated.
I'll have to see if I can scan a bridesmaid pic, babynurse.

Moo-- love the picture. You look so beautiful. Can date the picture by hubby's ruffled shirt. At least he isn't in baby blue...:lmao:

Babynurse -- my first wedding they wore southern belle type dresses in white because I wore pink!! What was I thinking. The second one velvet burgundy cocktail dresses. Hubby picked them. I wore white the second time:rotfl2:
:lmao: A baby blue tux on my hubby would have been quite a sight, Nab!

Colored wedding gowns come into style every now and then - you were a trend-setter ;)

I think my SIL had the same dress too..... as for the peach bridesmaids by dear but very old fashioned and Southern Husband wanted peach as well (we got married in 1997! so out of date by then) :confused3 I suggested blush and bashful but he wasn't amused. The church had violet shade of wine colored carpet and pews for goodness sake! We ended up with forest green :thumbsup2 my bridesmaids looked lovely..... I looked like a big poofy cake but I felt like Cinderella so it was all good.
I'm sure you were lovely, Twink!!! I think my bridesmaids agreed on peach. It was fine with me since I didn't have to wear it :rotfl:

Me, too! Me, too - pretty please!!!

Celery - I'd like to see your wedding pic too. I've heard of lots of shorter weddings than yours also.

MommyP - I like the name Noah too. Goog idea to keep the peace with your hubby on the middle name. Hopefully you have a little princess: on the way though.

MommyP - I love the name Noah!
Do you already have a James? Cuz I think Noah James has a nice ring to it.

NAB, it was 90!!!!!!!!!!! yes, please, let's split the difference!

For those of you that read Nebo's TR, he and Smidgy will be there last week of September too!!!!!

So much for free tickets. The kids were free buy it still cost us to get in then the popcorn on top. $40.00 later

The movie was cute. The kids laughed a lot so it was worth it. Hannah did get a little scared with the evil hats. It was ok , never looked at my watch that is a good sign.:lmao:

Marita did you look into the tickets for the Halloween party thing?

I finally made my ADR's, well hubby did I picked them. Couldn't get Le Cellier though. Eating at new places so all is good.

Nab, no I didnt look into tickets. What was I supposed to look for again? I saw it on my calendar, but then I couldnt remember why (DUH!)

Just sent an email to an old friend who was manager for Grand gatherings for a while, to see if she has any ideas for good places for large groups to mix and mingle.

$ 40 Nab- that is too bad. We went a few weeks ago and cost us $44 just for the tickets. Yikes. I won't tell you what it cost to go to the movies when I was a child!

Has anyone been to the pirate/princess party? My gang wants to go and I'm looking for first hand info. They said since I only scored a 4 on the priates quiz that I have to be a princess

Nab, you could still get Le Cellier lunch ressies when I checked earlier this week.

You'll have to send me a PM of where you have ressies! I still need to get mine figured out.

Marita-- you were going to see if you could get a discount.

Poly--Half of that was on popcorn and pop. Such a rip off. I know I think it used to be like a $1.75 or something when we went on a Saturday afternoon. I remember going to an all afternoon marathon of Planet of the Apes....:rotfl:

Diet Coke Plus is weird tasting. Oh, yes, I DID buy a bottle. Shhhhh! Dont tell!!!!

It's enhanced with vitamins and minerals and is sold in a pretty bottle.

It's ok, for COKE. Funky after-taste.

Stick with diet Pepsi and a Flintstones chewable.

I thought it was just me that couldn't see them Poly. My computer has been acting up tonight.

UMA -- I never heard of that Diet Coke? I that is my choice of drink you know. Usually it is the caffine free one.

My kids have Flintstones, they leave all the orange ones until the end....

Well, I lost my assitant today. Off to greaner pastures ($$)). Gave her a pcture of the resort with a plaque on it with her name and some sentiment (didnt ready it). So I went from 2 assistants (which was too many) to one to none. Luckily, the one who left is in the same region (meaning, under the same boss as me) so she will come back to help out.

Still havent posted my expense report, I am afraid I will forget :scared1:

Knowing hubby, he would just pay the bill when it comes in. Haven't filed one since 2003.

I am soooooooooooo tempted to just work from home tomorrow, but with assistant gone and boss on vacation, I better make an apperarance for a while. Not sure why really, except I think boss woud want it that way.

Last edited by NAB : Today at 10:10 PM. Reason: Poly didn't you remember you went all ready , welcome home.....lol

it all went by so quickly. I guess we had fun on our cruise, and oh, the Polynesian was simply breathtaking. Too bad I don't remember much. Guess i'll know what we did when my cc bill rolls in :rotfl: :rotfl:

Poly-- I guess you really should lay off those fancy drinks. :rotfl2:

Marita of course you a great employee. Do you have a plaque for employee of the month. :thumbsup2
