Oops-Forgot to request DME until 19 days out!

We typically rent a car so I completely forgot about signing up for DME until yesterday. We leave in 3 weeks. For those who use DME regularly what is the timeline from requesting service to receiving bag tags and paperwork in the mail?

We are going with our best friends and this is their first kids-free WDW trip and I have really been selling them on the convenience of everything when your kidless--including checking bags at the airport and never touching them again. Haha! Hope I didn't mess it up

They now know your dates and that you're using DME.
Your tags should still arrive in time.
Without tags, you can give your claim checks to the check-in CM at the airport, and they will claim your luggage and send it on a truck with t he rest of your resort's luggage.

We have requested DME two weeks in advance and have still gotten our tags in time. Have fun!!

They ask for 10 business days to get these items to you.

If they don't arrive in time, you simply provide your luggage claim checks to DME when you check in at the airport & they will still retrieve & deliver your bags.

You, of course, always have the option to retrieve your own bags & take them to the bus yourself, if you'd rather.

Perfect, thanks everyone! I felt like 3 weeks should still be ok and then I read somewhere 6 weeks and got worried. I feel better now!

For what it's worth, I once realized on a Saturday, that I needed extra tags for a trip and was leaving the next Wednesday morning (4 days later). I called and they sent them out FedEx that day. I had them Monday afternoon. And I live in Oregon.
