OOP Table Service Meal Suggestions

My family and I are traveling in May and have a 6 day dining plan with table service, but are also doing Narcossees one night and Chef Mickey's breakfast one day. So we either have to pay for Narcosseess OOP, or two table services OOP. Any suggestions, here is our list.

Saturday - Tusker House Dinner
Sunday - Chef Mickeys Breakfast
- Narcossees
Monday - Biergarten
Tuesday - Ohana
Wedneday - Be Our Guest
Thursday - Le Chefs France

My thought is it would be cheaper to pay for Chef Mickeys and Biergarten because they are both buffets and one is breakfast.

I would pay for narcoossees OOP. The character buffets are all pretty good deals. Unless everyone orders the lobster at narcoossees your meal is likely to be less than twice the cost of any of your buffets, ESPECIALLY for the kids (buffets are nearly, if not more than, the cost of the whole day's plan for kids). OR you could split it up I think - if someone wants to order lobster at narcoossees then use the DDP for them, if they are ordering a less expensive entree then pay OOP and use their TS for chef mickey's.

Is Biergarten lunch? Could you switch it to lunch if not? That would be cheaper. There is also usually a Disney Visa discount at lunch, I think.

Tusker, Chef Mickey's, Biergarten, and Ohana are all fixed price meals. At Narccossee's, Be Our Guest, and Chefs, you order off the menu, so you can control how much those cost.

I agree with this! I have studied the DDP carefully and try to squeeze out every bit of value out of my credits. From our last trip using the dining plan in Oct/Nov 2014, I figured out that we would need to spend a minimum of $39 per adult per TS credit to break even. That amount has most likely increased since then. If the steak/lobster or just lobster dinner is included on the DDP, you could get a good value out of that since it is $75/72 just for the entree.

I am doing the DxDDP as part of a split stay and one of my meals will be california grill. I am seriously considering shoehorning in another meal somewhere rather than spending 2TS for my kid to eat a $9 mac and cheese and a $7 dessert. Even with that the plan works out for us OVERALL but now wondering if I shouldn't fit in another 2TS meal and pay OOP for the kid at both!

Just want to make sure you know how it works. You say 6-DAY dining plan. Are you staying 6 nights or 5 nights? The dining plan is tied to the NIGHTS you stay. If it's only 5 nights, you need to pay OOP for 3 meals.

You can also split a meal between OOP and DDP. You definitely want to use the DDP for your kids at ALL buffets. As PP said, the cost of that buffet is roughly the cost of the kid's dining plan for than night. Since you have 3 a la carte places, I'd be tempted to pay OOP for ONE or TWO adults and use the DDP for at least one adult, so you would have a dessert to share. Just put the highest price entree on the DDP, and the others OOP.

Biergarten will almost certainly be more expensive OOP than either Be Our Guest or Chefs de France. Chefs de France and Be Our Guest should both be less than $30 per person. Not sure how much the buffets are for kids but probably at least $35 per adult.

Just to be clear, the steak/ lobster combo meal is no longer available on the DDP. If you order steak the lobster is now an expensive add on. I believe there is a 2 lb lobster entree available if that is your choice.
