Our local NBC affiliate has a doozie of traffic reporter. This chick fancies herself a budding comedian (she does improv comedy with some local group). She is NOT funny. She cavorts around every morning making a total fool of herself and is an embarassment to the station. Thank God for DVR because I fast forward through all of her nonsense. She's actually made many offensive jokes. Add to that that she dresses terribly and has the self-carriage and social grace of "Lisa Lupner" from Gilda Radner's days on SNL.

I cringe everytime she's on. She's a joke. I'm no Scrooge so if the station management thinks she's doing a bang -up job, who am I to argue otherwise? Anyone else driven batty by their local stations "stars"? Or even the national network folks?

Not on the channel I watch. But you know now you have to give us a link so we can see this nightmare for ourselves.

Do you watch the Charlotte station? I haven't noticed their local NBC morning people being wierd.

I can't believe you would talk about Jenny so! Actually, I agree with you wholeheartedly!! I watch the Today show as I am getting ready, but put her on mute. Come on WXII...time to let Jenny go!

Ooh, that is SO BAD, and not "BAD" in a good way. The pink clashes with the red and blue. Jenny needs to "move on".

She got paid for that? :scared: They could get anybody off of the street and get a better report than that.

Our local traffic guy is like that and I love him! Pete Busch..

One local TV person I do NOT like is M.A. Rosko. She is horrible!!! Just goes to show a pretty face can get you in most doors ;)

Like I said, I'm no Scrooge so I haven't sent my thoughts to the station...don't want to see anybody fired around the holidays. And really, what other job could she possibly be qualified for? I am not sure if there are any royal courts looking for a new court jester.

There was a female anchor on our "local" (not really local - 90 miles away - but the closest we get) channel four that I found snoody and mean. She had been there forever - I only complained once - when she made a joke about how the suffering where I live was "good" for the people where she lives. I was very happy when she recently annouced that she was leaving to persue ........ Mornings are much more pleseant without her

We had a weather reporter on our local Action News that was kind of like that when he first started years ago. I have no doubt many people complained. I often wonder if he got spoken to by the bigwigs because he has calmed down tremendously since then. He still gets a little quirky at times, but it is much more endearing now since it isn't a constant thing.

There was also a morning anchor that was pregnant. She swelled up like a balloon almost overnight. Apparently many viewers expressed concern for her and she saw her doctors who put her on bed rest almost immediately for the rest of her pregnancy. She actually thanked the viewers for urging her to get checked out.

This weekend during the snow storm there was a new weather girl doing the outside coverage. This poor girl was outside all morning. I even commented to my DH that I hope they were letting her inside between takes to warm up. The anchor actually addressed the issue later in the broadcast and said she does indeed come inside between segments so not to worry. Apparently a lot of viewers were calling in about her.

Just wanted to let you know that at least our local news station seems to listen to viewers comments! Maybe you should voice your displeasure!!!

PLEASE go ahead and complain to the station! Get your friends and neighbors involved as well.

While I understand competition between/among broadcasters, traffic is SERIOUS. I can get the weather by looking or going outside; I can get the news from newspapers. Traffic? Uh-uh. It changes minute by minute. What's the point of having a traffic reporter if nobody can tell what the traffic is?????????????

All i have to say is :scared1::scared1:

WOW just WOW - that was so bad what was she thinking????

I have actually written e-mails to two stations and gotten two different responses.

One was a praise for a new weather person and irritation at somebody's voice (really, really grating) and the fact she didn't seem to know her sports. With that one I got a response from the station manager (or his e-mail:rotfl:) acknowledging the praise. Kind of forgot to talk about the knowledge of sports....but she does know more about sports now and she is in the morning when I watch a different station. :rotfl2:

The other was a complaint on how the station(s) handled a special promotion(the cast of Glee came through....there was no mention in all of their ads that to even get in line to see them you had to purchase a $25 t-shirt)....got no response from them. With that nonresponse I decided it wouldn't do me any good to complain about the hosts who hunch over and talk into their hands.

We have a couple of comedians on the morning news that I watch....but they really are comedians. Sometimes I do this :rolleyes:but most of the time they make me giggle....espescially the deadpan comments during the people & places segment (the man obviously has disdain for celebrities...and I love that). I actually like it better now that the regular co-host is on maternity leave and they have put the other comedianne in her chair...makes the banter easier.

I think I would have to complain about that reporter...she's a train wreck...

This is what I watch. I love the WCNC morning group!

Now, that new morning female reporter at the ABC affiliate, WSOC, drives me insane! I seriously cannot watch her at all. She is very pretty, but she talks using her hands CONSTANTLY. She always looks like everything is so serious. I cannot watch it!
