The OBB characters are usually real people so that they can “interact” since that’s the point of the interactive treat trail. Oogie Boogie himself is an outlier, but since he’s entirely covered and can “talk” that way, it’s still different than just a sculpted head.

I really liked Sid and his interactions here, so this is a downgrade IMO. But I get that they want to change it up, since swapping out villains is apparently all they’re willing to do for this party.

I was also hoping they were going to do something cooler with Maleficent to justify bringing her back instead of adding something new.

First pictures from Cast Preview Night have begun to appear.

Not sure if anyone but me cares about characters, but here it goes:

The Kingdom Hearts character spot is now in the place where Mim's treat trail was before.

Doom's treat trail is indeed in the area where that backdrop appeared. The Sanderson Meet was moved to the Paradise Pier area in the previous location of the Kingdom Hearts spot.

Bruno is not appearing anymore - not really surprised seeing he was out for the Pixar season. That location is now taken by a Hercules themed spot with Pain & Panic and Megara rotating last night.

The Fountain rotation seems to be at least partly Alice in Wonderland themed: Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum rotating with Cheshire Cat. If anyone heard a high pitched squeal yes, that was me.

I'm glad that this list seems intentionally incomplete. I'm noticing no Tweedles, no Megara, no Kingdom Hearts, no Pixar, no Marvel. I love Pain & Panic, but am surprised to see them two years in a row. I wouldn't be shocked to see another repeater villain frequenting Carthay Circle. Maybe Hook, Smee, Sheriff of Nottingham or Prince John. Holding out hope for rare Marvel and Pixar characters.

They never put everything on the list, yeah. Kingdom Hearts was a complete surprise stop when it first appeared before Covid, I am guessing that's why they keep it that way.

Meg suddenly appeared at the Fountain Meet with Herc in I think it was 2023. Not there at the first Bash events. When I ran into her mid event run I was more than shocked, no one had reported seeing her before. Before it was always Herc. I guess Herc might be in the rotatation at that photo stop too due to that backstory.

Fountain in the past has always had 4 characters, so yeah probably at least one repeat if we are taking the Tweedles as a given too besides the 2 posted selections. A friend brought up last night that a Face Queen of Hearts was out at Pride Nite, so maybe, just maybe that's the one?

I was kind of hoping the day 2 weeks ago where like 10 Marvel characters suddenly appeared on Campus that partly were not out in years was warm up. But if you are hoping for Zombie Cap like me I don't think so.

The Pixar stop often has a wild rotation. I hope that changes now that the characters who were out the last 2 years are pretty much park regulars now.

Yeah, I'm also hoping for Zombie Cap. I agree that we're probably out of luck. Do you happen to remember which oddball Marvel characters came out recently?

My other hope is that they freshen up the Pixar lineup a little bit. Boo would be a great addition. I was also thinking maybe the boys from Onward, or maybe Elio? I'm not holding my breath for these either.

Yep, will do. I was just curious...I do, too, of course, since Iron Man doesn't sign. Was lucky enough to get a pic with Nick Fury...he was quite formidable, wouldn't have dared to ask him to sign, too!

Sorry to say this is a wake up call for Disneyland - they need to add/change the activities and based what I am reading on this board -- people love the characters! Add more characters and change things up. Message to Disney corporate/Disneyland ...prices are too high for this event and need to change offerings.

I didn't realize it started tonight!!!!!!!!!! I'm going to have to watch some livestreams.

Definitely insane that it didn't sell out before the first party, it's so mind boggling after the debacle last year (or maybe the year before?) when the tickets were paused due to IT issues and all events were sold out within hours. The fact they were even still available a couple weeks after general public ticket sales started was wild.

I so love Lady Tremaine, Anastasia, and Drizella....I wish they would have them out doing meet and greets like they did before. That would definitely add to the appeal for us at least.

I don’t think it matters at all. Several dates did sell out on opening day, even if one or two parties end up not selling out totally, Disney will not lose money. And for guests it is actually better to have options that are still available for a longer time. Not everyone is so I formed as us posters here. If they only sell out half of the parties offered, they might feel like change is necessary.
