I did a full length Snow White costume one year and we lucked out with the weather. Every other year has been hot there.Florida is too hot for costumes all the way up until Halloween (and after sometimes)
In the past, DISers have donated tickets to CHOC (Children's Hospital of Orange County) or Make a Wish.Question. I accidentally bought the wrong night (forgot my parents were coming). Thankfully I was able to get a different night. I know I can’t sell my tickets. But ideas on were I can share that I have extras?

Usually twiceDoes the event have the parade one time or twice?
Villains Grove is what I'm most excited for.Now that all our blood pressures and heart rates have returned to normal with our tickets securely in our hands, I would love to hear everyone’s favourite event, ride, experience at OBB. This will be my first time and I have no idea what to expect!
I would love to see the parade and have a great spot to view it from. Suggestions for this? Are there any special packages to be purchased for it? Or are crowd levels low enough that seeing the parade doesn’t require a 2-hour campout ahead of time?
The key to Villains Grove is to go either DURING one of the parades, RIGHT AFTER one of the parades (like, you have to consciously make sure you are viewing the parade from an area where you can easily get to Villians Grove once the parade is over) or at the end of the night (as close to the end of the party as possible). Those are the times when you will find less people going through, which significantly enhances the experience. Otherwise, you are funneled through with crowds of people, taking away from the atmospheric feel. NOTE: this didn't seem to apply as much last year because it seemed crowded in Villians Grove all night (at least when I was at the party) - I'm convinced they oversold tickets last year due to the ticketing fiascos. I'm hopeful crowd levels are back to pre-2023 levels.Villains Grove is what I'm most excited for.
The videos of it always make it looks so darn cool, kinda wish they did something like it for Christmas time. think it would be an insane hit

Wife and I have been to Oogie Boogie 3 times, this will be our 4th (and first time bringing our daughter - 5YO). Thank you for all this! The food is high on our list too (me, DS 19 and DD 20). The Ghost Pepper nachos sounds delicious!Wife and I have been to Oogie Boogie 3 times, this will be our 4th (and first time bringing our daughter - 5YO). My random thoughts on your questions:
- I think for us, the best part of any OBB is the food. We generally gravitate towards special food at any Disney event, but we love the Ghost Pepper nachos at LLL and the Mango Habanero Chix Tenders at Flo's.
- That being said though, we also love the parade. For us, we like to see the 2nd viewing (it tends to be less crowded and easier to get a good viewing spot). My recommendation is to watch it from Hollywood Boulevard on the 2nd viewing - easy to get a seat, great backdrop, etc. Definitely no 2 hour campout required.
- I think you can purchase Dessert/Meal packages with secured/table viewing, but honestly as already noted, it's pretty easy to get a spot for the 2nd viewing if you want to save the money (and time - you have to commit a lot more time for a special viewing b/c of the eating)
- I personally also love the Treat Trails. This is one thing OBB does better than MNSSHP (in my opinion). Great way to see multiple characters (incl. quite popular ones, Oogie Boogie himself, etc.) without having to wait in a long line, keep moving, etc. We def. plan to utilize these for our kiddo.
- Villains Grove is really cool as well. The line can get quite long to get in and stay long (b/c it doesn't open typically right away, they have to wait for it to get proper dark). Definitely worth doing at least once though if you haven't, and unique to OBB.
- The overlay on Guardians is great; we also just love the decorations in Cars Land - the ride overlays there are very cute too.
Your mileage may vary, but last year - at 7:50pm, I watched the Headless Horseman ride by at the intersection across from Little Mermaid. (First parade beginning.) As soon as he was past me, I went directly to Villains Grove, and was inside at 8pm.Also people saying the lines for Villains Grove is shorter in the parade time like 20-30 mins short or just under an hour?
The characters are on the treat trails? I remember when MNSSHP used to do that. Now they just funnel you through and a grumpy looking cm gives you 2 pieces of candy.

Yes, there are characters but you can’t really interact with them. They will talk etc as you go through the line. The characters are on the treat trails? I remember when MNSSHP used to do that. Now they just funnel you through and a grumpy looking cm gives you 2 pieces of candy.
