Now that we all got our tickets, time to ask the important question… what about costumes?? I’ve only been to MNSSHP. Do people go all out for costumes at OBB?
Oh boy! I’ll have to start convincing my family to do more than matching t-shirts. We went all out at MNSSHP back in the day.Yes, absolutely amazing costumes. I don’t know what happened MNSSHP. People to used to go all out back in the day.

Just offer them to a trusted friend or family member. Sharing to strangers that you have extras leaves you open for trouble. Even if you truly intend to give them away, any recipients could turn around and try to sell them and you'd be the one in hot water should Disney find out.Question. I accidentally bought the wrong night (forgot my parents were coming). Thankfully I was able to get a different night. I know I can’t sell my tickets. But ideas on were I can share that I have extras?
Well I mean it's a balance between how much they make at the party vs how much is decreased during the day. I think it's a much less effect now that it's over at DCA vs when it was at Disneyland. World of Color was down for what, like 14 months or something and I don't remember ticket prices being discounted or anything. People dealt with it and the park seemed just as busy as ever.I keep trying to walk myself away from this, but it's frustrating.
Any change you make like that has consequences beyond what you're thinking.
I don't know if I need to say more than this: if those ideas worked, they would already be doing that on OBB days. Closing at 6pm is already an issue.
In a run-on paragraph: People hate that they close the park at 6pm for OBB, and this would impact many more people than it already does. Fridays and Saturdays during the Halloween season are some of the busiest days of the year. You'd be telling all of those park-goers that they have to pay full price and not get to see World of Color. You'd be losing the revenue for LLs, and I'm not sure how valuable free LLs would be - if they still somehow managed to sell out the park, the LL lines would be ridiculous. And, all the way around, they would have to do special promotions to tell everyone they were getting free LLs.
I mean, I get that people want Fridays and Saturdays so they can take their kids. But that's why they've always positioned this as an adult-friendly party. They're trying to do it on nights that have less impact on day guests.
There's no question that those nights would be popular - but that's not really the issue.

See y'all on 10/3. Glad my travel agent was able to snag these while I was seeing patients. The wife wants to go as Tink and Peter Pan.
it could be the absolute poop show buying tickets was in the past couple of years that people decided it wasn't worth it.Well I mean it's a balance between how much they make at the party vs how much is decreased during the day. I always got more that the issue might be staffing vs annoying guests...
This year might prove wildly different for demand at the parties, but I would think if Disney can sell them out it would probably still be worth it for them to have it Thur-Sun the last three weeks in October or something. That would be six Friday and Saturdays they're affecting but could drastically increase the available tickets. (Example, not counting the Aug dates that they did this year, that's still summer, I'm sorry, lol, if they added the six extra days from 3 weeks of Fri/Sat, that would be a 22% increase...)
On a side note, I'M SHOCKED how many tickets are still available! Either the parks are going to be PACKED FULL, or demand has just fallen off a cliff!
It certainly could be... but it's so crazy the difference... and I'm surprised by now social media hasn't nudged those people that gave up back into doing it by saying you can just jump on the site and buy tickets in 30 seconds still!it could be the absolute poop show buying tickets was in the past couple of years that people decided it wasn't worth it.
Thanks. Edited to remove the confirmation number. You may want to delete this post - you never want to share confirmation numbers for tickets on websites.
Florida is too hot for costumes all the way up until Halloween (and after sometimes)Yes, absolutely amazing costumes. I don’t know what happened MNSSHP. People to used to go all out back in the day.
I know in FL the event was only canceled for tornados and hurricanes. Rain might cancel the headless horseman or the parade/fireworks but other than that we did treat trails and watched abbreviated shows and got wet. Which was at least a break from the heat.It has been hot in CA on rare Halloweens as well (sometimes rain, boo). Is the event rain or shine? Does anyone know?
