Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party 2024

Those of you on multiple devices, are you also logged into multiple MDE accounts for this process?
With this, the queue system is wholly independent of user logins. The queue just restricting access to the website. You can be completely logged out on all devices and be fine. (I can't tell if it happened today, but it often makes you log back in to buy tickets, even if you were already logged in.)

I was able to get two tickets for my oldest son and myself for the date we wanted. It was not without some stress! When it was my turn the page wouldn’t switch to purchase, some some refreshing and clicking the link sent to me via email.

Then it made my log into my account again even though I was previously logged in. This wasn’t super clear so any Magic Key holders trying tomorrow should take note.

Then my credit card wouldn’t go through. This was my card linked to my Disney account that works seamlessly every time I use it. So I went in to “edit” the card and somehow my expiration date was wrong. It’s like the system pulled my card and then something was messed up in the process. I fixed it and then it went through. So if anyone has that issue go in to check your card details!
Same on my CC needing to be updated

Literally was in the parks 10 days ago and no issues using the app...of course the one time its time sensitive something comes up

So nervous that I'll screw something up on Thurs. I'm clinging to every post here. I think if I can (ie if I have time) I may try to join tomorrow (or at least look at it so it's not so foreign looking to me). I've tried to clear my schedule for Thurs. starting at 11:30 eastern so I can do this queue. I tend to panic and hit the wrong thing (and could accidently close the app or something). I also don't check my emails on a regular basis so the fact that they're going to email me the time for my turn has me nervous. Honestly, I'd prefer a text. We have been waiting to see if we can get tix before finalizing any of our other SoCal plans. I'm a nervous Nellie....

I don’t think I will sign up for the email. Too much risk associated.

I didn't know that was "optional". I thought that's just how it works, like it or not.
Nah - it's an optional thing if you don't want to wait around (or can't). I doubt most folks bothered.

If it matters - a handful of folks on Reddit said they tried it and that it did actually work. (I probably still wouldn't rely on it, but it least it sounds like it wasn't broken on day one.)

I tried to see if it worked (but kept a separate tab open too) and it worked today

I was in the same account without it showing the same queue for the same browser. And I did notice different wait times over the separate queues ftr.

On the topic of the email. That might be more useful for something like MK sales or something you know you’re going to be in the queue for multiple hours. Because then you aren’t babysitting it as much. Something like today where it’s gone in a couple of hours is kinda useful but limited arguably. And could have been a test run to see how well it works on ITs end.

I fell off this thread, and totally forgot the Inspire Key sale was today. Good thing I'm a lowly Enchant :rotfl2:

Interesting to see that multiple browsers were back this year. Didn't they make us log in last year? Maybe that was what made it such a disaster, so they reverted to no pre-login requirement for this year.

My friend confirmed we're in for this year so I'll be joining the battle tomorrow. Given I just got concert tickets today, I am sure spending a lot of time in queues this week :hyper:

I have email alerts set up on my phone so it works similar to a text message anyways. But it's not required to use it. I liked it so I could keep all my queues monitored (and bring the desktop ones with me) while I was driving to work so I knew if I needed to pull over.

Not required to sign up. Zero risk. It doesn't force you to close anything. But you could even close the tab and reopen it from the link in the email and it'll put you right back where you were. But also any non incognito window will also just reopen to the same spot in line unless you clear cookies.

I used it. I've been wondering for years why Disney didn't use it. It's one of my favorite features of Queue It. From my end it worked so smoothly. Really hoping they keep this going for all future event sales (I'm looking at you runDisney). It took a lot of stress off and I really like having the links emailed to me. Less work on my end to gather them all/transfer them to my preferred browser.

Highly recommend using this feature.

I used it so I could take some desktop queues with me and monitor all my queues safely while driving to work.

It's a feature of Queue It they've had awhile. I first started using it in 2020 for other companies. Never understood why Disney didn't use it. Went so smooth.

Granted Disney IT likes to break things that function just fine as we've already seen them do with Queue It 🫠

They never blocked multiple browsers. They blocked the ability to share links. It's been a process of hiding the link we could actually copy and share, but left the Queue ID on the page. To hiding the Queue ID (but was still in the source code and people were able to find and share that with a little effort). To just breaking it so the links don't work for anyone but you.

Used the emailed link and it worked fine.
If you use the email link, does the window also stay open that shows the time counting down?

Also, if you get the email link sent, and then you move to a different computer/device and click the link, is that countdown now on the new device?

So when they email you how much notice do you get? Is it like an immediate thing that says "your turn" or does it give you a few minutes heads up to stop whatever you're doing to do it?!

That was my worry. In that case, I’ll use it.

When you enter the waiting room (before the actual queue opens) you can go ahead and enter your email address. It'll do an on page update without even refreshing the page that basically is a thanks, you'll get a couple emails from us. But yes. It keeps your queue window open.

You get an initial email to confirm you're signed up. The unique link to your queue will be in this email. Then you'll get a second when it's time.

Tab/window stays open so no worries!

It seemed to be pretty close to on the dot for "it's time!", but I wasn't paying super close attention to that detail. When I've used it before (not Disney) I had a few minutes notice before the queue finished.

It did hold for a couple minutes on the "it's time" notification on the page after I clicked the link from the email before it auto refreshed to the ticket page. I had plenty of time to get on, though, but I would be ready for the email when it comes in. You have ten minutes to open the link once it's your turn according to the email.

So you need to login to your DL account to enter the queue at 8:45am PT, but when it becomes time to actually purchase you have to login again? Is this usually true for all Oogie Boogie Bash ticket sales or just early Magic Key sales verification?

I am hoping to purchase on Thursday to add some tickets to a first DL trip... I am usually a pro with WDW registrations so I am trying to figure it all out!
