Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party 2024

If you use the email link, does the window also stay open that shows the time counting down?

Also, if you get the email link sent, and then you move to a different computer/device and click the link, is that countdown now on the new device?
Yes and yes. I closed out all windows. Texted the link to my wife and she opened it on her device with the same wait I had when I closed everything out on my end.

What are ride wait times like during OBB? Does Genie+ still apply during that time or is it all standby? Thanks! Totally new to OBB and hoping for tickets either Aug 27 or 29.
Not going to answer again, but saying HI as we are hoping for the same days!

So you need to login to your DL account to enter the queue at 8:45am PT, but when it becomes time to actually purchase you have to login again? Is this usually true for all Oogie Boogie Bash ticket sales or just early Magic Key sales verification?

I am hoping to purchase on Thursday to add some tickets to a first DL trip... I am usually a pro with WDW registrations so I am trying to figure it all out!
You don't need to log into your DL account to enter the queue. You'll just enter the queue - all it's doing is restricting access to the website. If you want to log in to the site beforehand, you can (it doesn't hurt), but it's not required.

This is pretty typical for DLR. DLR doesn't have as many of the technical hoops that WDW does (even if it sometimes feels like they have similar failure rates). Last year's OBB sale was a technical disaster, so it looks like they're sticking with the basic tried-and-true this year.

Hope system goes as well as yesterday. I was logged into account on computer and phone. Only had to enter password when purchasing. Phone got a 30 minute start countdown and computer started at the over an hour switching to minutes shortly after.

Does how early you enter the waiting room seem to affect the wait time in the actual queue? i.e. does entering promptly at 8:45 seem to have better / faster results than joining at 8:55?!

Does anyone know if a VPN will be necessary to get tickets if you are outside the US? Hoping to get tickets tomorrow but for MNSSHP I needed up needing a VPN in order to get to the ticket page to purchase. Trying to get prepared ahead of time!

Nope. The best play is to just have a bunch of windows / private windows / browsers open.

There used to be a trick where - if you joined the queue right after it opened, it might skip ahead of some of the folks in the waiting room (there used to be a slight lag in getting people from the waiting room to the queue) - but I think they fixed that.

Okay, that's weird. They skipped the waiting room and went straight to the queue. (I swear they used the waiting room yesterday.)

I didn't try yesterday at all because I don't have Inspire MK and didn't want to clog anything up but this does seem weird compared to what I experienced last year.

I believe I read yesterday people had approx wait times, have not see that on any of my devices.

Oh, I didn't even realize lol. I was at least a minute or two late so hopefully that's not a major problem since I imagine only so many people were sitting there refreshing for the waiting room to open....eek

Edit: Wait times just showed up, great lol

Yesterday, I think the queue opened around 9am, and then sales started around 9:03am or some such.

It looked like this between 9am and 9:03am - no wait times until sales started.

For anyone not participating today but planning to tomorrow, here's the new blurb from the queue page:

Tickets for the general public go on sale on June 27, 2024. The queue will open at approximately 8:45 AM Pacific Time with sales starting no earlier than 9:00 AM Pacific Time.

So no Waiting Room, apparently. Probably a good idea to be ready at 8:30am.
