We are planning a trip to Universal next April and would like to stay at an on site hotel, esp for the front of line passs. Can you make a recommendation between the three on site hotels. I am leaning more toward Hard Rock but would like opinions of people that have been to them. We have a 13 year old boy and 8 year old girl. Thanks....

I've stayed at all 3 hotel numerous times and IMO I think Hard Rock would be best for you. I totally think your kids will love it. The pool is big and it has a fun slide. They are constantly playing music in the lobby and throughout the halls. It's really cool. I think you were leaning toward the right hotel. :goodvibes

Is there a map anywhere that shows each hotel and its proximity to the parks. Is PBH much further than HRH????

PBH is close to Universal and RPH is close to IoA. HRH is smack in the middle of both hotels and the parks.

PBH is a pretty far walk to the parks. It sits beyond HRH. You can take the water taxi though which makes for a nice relaxing ride.

Since it is farther away than HHN would you reccommend PBH club level over the other 2 hotels? I just called reservations and they had the following AAA rates available:

RP $329 King Suite (but ony 1 bed) there are 3 of us 2A/1CH
HRH $314 Club level or $296 deluxe
PBH $307 Club level

I chose PBH CLub level w/o stay and play cuz it worked out cheaper to buy tickets seperately.

Did I choose wisely?

We are staying at the HR this year (kids wanna try it) but the RP is my favorite of the three. Well, I haven't actually stayed at the HR or PBH before but I've visited both and I really do prefer the beautiful tropical theme of the Royal Pacific. The walk from the RP takes you out right by Margaritaville (our fave) and it is a fairly short walk, I love it. We also walked to the HR, also not a bad walk but I think maybe a bit longer? I didn't even know you could walk to the PBH, but RyGuy is right, it is a nice relaxing boat ride over there from Citywalk.
