Ok, so we finally got the big "this will fit our family of 5" camper we've always hoped for!...Best part, it was free (and did I mention it's big enough?!!)...The other side of the coin: it really needs a make-over!

Anyone ever done this, to any extent? Anyone have any links to this effect? It's do-able for us, nothing that we've gone in over our heads with, but advice and ideas are always nice! Frame/body/hitch and all the major systems are good to go. Roof has been rubberized but not sure if it still leaks or not (waiting for some rain around here!). Otherwise we need new cushion covers, new wall paneling (or similar), and new ceiling panels mostly (because it has leaked). Then a top-to-bottom cleaning.

Oh, and it's FW-bound one of these years! A 27-ft. camper is something I can live out of for 10 days!!!

Before spending any money on the camper, look it over really, really close and after you do that look some more. Water can be very bad and can cause problems that will not be found unless you are looking for them. Leaky roof not only messes up the ceiling but gets down into the walls and can be hard to repair.

Best of luck and ebjoy your project.

John
