I love credit cards so much! v7.0 - 2025 (see first page for add'l details)

I'm thinking I might have a bit of a play here. My travel credit resets in August instead of 11/1 bc of some weird upgrade timing. So I'm thinking I might use the travel credit then and any of the semi-annual credits that I can when benefits go live on 10/26. Perhaps I'll look to cancel or PC the card within 30 days of the 11/1 AF and then re-app for the CSR before the end of the year for triple/quadruple dip. That would be pretty tight timing, but I could maybe make it work. The new rules about having multiple sapphires may make this possible.
I thought Chase moved everyone’s $300 credit to January? Mine was moved to then at least.

Another option is the BOA Premium Rewards Elite. It does have a $550 annual fee. You get PP (which includes Restaurants) plus you can sign up 3 others for PP Pass as well. Each person can bring 2 people. So, I have the card and got PP for DH, DS and DD. Have used it many times so far, and DD loves it when traveling with friends.

It also comes with an annual $150 Lifestyle Credit (Uber, Doordash and lots of other things - easy to use) and $300 Airline Incidental Credit (Bag Fees, Upgrades etc).

I think this will be a keeper card for me.
Thanks I wasn’t aware of this one!!

My CSR annual fee is charged August 1, and my travel credit resets in March. This is an OG CF that I upgraded so I’m guessing that’s why the dates don’t align. Is it possible your CSR was an upgrade as well?

No, I’ve never changed mine since I applied in 2016 when they were ending the 100k welcome offer. My credit used to reset in December and have the annual fee charged in January. I sort of received a double dip this year as it reset in December and then I got it again in January.

Several people on Reddit reported receiving the same letter I did so I assumed it was for everybody

My young adult children swear I was the worst parent ever bc they had to listen to Clark Howard in the back of the minivan for school pickup. 😂 Just the other day they tried flaming me about it. But, they've had 401k and investment accounts since their young 20s, so...
I still like the weekly Clark Stinks episodes,I have no idea why:rotfl:

So.... maybe b/c I'm a 'low level' player in this game, I rarely go for the bigger perks,I like middle of the road redemptions where I can get the best bang for my buck, I was kind of ignoring the CSR chatter all around.... (content with CSP redemptions) but now I'm starting to understand why so much unhappiness.... This past few months I had the Cap1 venture, and was able to really compare portal redemptions with UR.... the CSP was so much better! And now that's gonna be leveled,so it truly is just 1:1,other than a few transfer options. I'm sorry to write this all out here, but I'm slow to process many things,it helps me to write it out here vs just thinking about it. I'm still happy overall with my CSP (just got a new one) and I won't cash out bc I still find them sooo useful, but I'm getting it now. I have a feeling this is one of those big changes that's a watermark for future activities. (fwiw,I could never justify the new csr now, but for $95 and the most recent bonus I'll stick with Chase for awhile)

so according to DoC I could PC something to CSr till the 23rd? or did that pass already? I'mnot sure I even could, I just pc'd my CSP - FR last month, would that be allowed,or is that 12 months rule?

can the boa travel incidental be used to fund united travel bank
I think so... I have not tried it. I have been flying Sun Country more as prices have been better and direct flights. Of course, this is on of the airlines that you cannot use for airline incidentals... Would be great to use for bags.

I get free bags on Delta and SW and those are the only 2 other airlines we mostly use. So, is a bit trickier to try and use this up. Did use it once to upgrade to First Class for like $100 each ticket for me and DD, so that was nice. But rarely is it that cheap.

I thought Chase was moving everyone to a calendar rollout of the credit when they moved mine vs actual card anniversary.

Thanks for the link.

Interesting that the article is from 2018 and mine just changed this January from December.

"Other people are still seeing the reset as being in December. I’m guessing it just hasn’t updated yet for them (probably depending on when their statements close), but we’ll have to wait and see to know for sure."
Could chase's IT really be as bad as Disney's with mine just getting switched over? :rotfl2:

Yesterday on r/churning there was at least one person that was told they couldn't. Some thought there was a cut off for PC because they had done it before with another card. Can always call and ask, worse they say is no.

Someone did speculate the person may not have had 10k on the card they were trying to update but I would think the rep would have explained that.

Have you ever tried booking a SW flight like you can with the AMEX Platinum to get the airline to trigger?
