Only one short day is it worth it? We have dinner reservation eveynight of our trip at about 6pm. Is it worth it to try and do one day here?

If you arrive when the park opens and leave around 4 and can still get back, clean up, and get to the restaurant by 6, I say go for it. You will be able to see quite a bit of the park and several shows . You should also have time for the 3 rides and time to spend feeding the dolphins and sea lions etc. as long as you don't spend too long just enjoying the fun there. If you can stay till 4 the money spent is well worth it.

I agree, go for it - Sea World is a very relaxing park to visit.

We do Sea World in about half a day and then make dinner reservations that night. My kids love seeing the animals, and the day feels more relaxed. It is mostly shows where you can sit and then the rest you see at your own pace.

I would go for it. Our dinner is scheduled for 6:30 on our SW day.

I was at Sea World for my first visit last week...last minute add on because a friend gave me a free pass. I was there for just two hours but still got to see Blue Horizons, feed the dolphins (and touch one!!), see the penguins, stingrays and do a quick walk around pretty much the entire park. Had hoped to catch another show or two but the schedule just did not work out. Did not intend to ride anything but probably could have squeezed in Kraken or Atlantis since crowds were very light the day I was there (and I did not arrive til about noon). Glad I went and, yes, I think part of a day there was just fine.

That's plenty of time.
Most people have this idea they need to spend an entire day in the park to see everything. At SWF, the parking lot opens around 08:30am. Be there at that time, go in, head to the left, and get to the rope. They'll play the national anthem at 9am, then you head towards Kracken and JTA. Eat an early lunch at 11:30am to beat the crowd. For each show, arrive 30 minutes early for the best seats.

I never spend an entire day in the park, my feet get tired. I usually go early, then leave in the afternoon when it gets crowded.

We had a wonderful day there last month. Much more relaxing than at WDW so it was a nice change. We were there almost at opening and saw all the shows, rode Kraken and Atlantis, saw almost all the exhibits and left for our dinner ressie at 7:40 at Kona Cafe. BTW, that was wonderful also.

We did Sea World in half a day last month. Arrived by nine, watched the manatees for quite a while, dolphin feeding, Blue Horizons show, had lunch at the Hospitality House (killing two birds by getting our free beer) visited the sharks and penquins and still had time to Christmas shop! We were out by 2:30, back at the TTC before three. The Shamu show wasn't happening, though, so that would have added about an hour. Still entirely possible to fit Sea World in, I think.
