"Only Heaven Is Better than Disney World": Live TR 8/24

Thank you so much for your wonderful TR. I feel like I am right there with you! (Especially since you are staying at our favorite resort--The Polynesian :cloud9:!!--sigh) Our trip this year was postponed due to DD's surgery, so I have been living vicariously through Jane's & now your trip report until we can get there next year (fingers crossed).

If you end up there in May, let me know!

Depends on DD#1's job. Not sure when we'll know either :confused3 and I'm chomping at the bit to start planning! I'd love to finally get to meet you in person AND at our favorite place in the world!

I just read your entire report! very fun! sad that when I got to the end of it.. it was also the end to your vacation!

I have to know.. how does one hate mac & cheese? Im shocked. lol

Thanks for the great report.. and keeping us by your side!

I have really enjoyed your live TR and wanted to Thank you! I appreciate you taking the time! I would love to do a live TR next wkend but dont have intranet on my phone, I have 4 ppl on my plan so it would just get way to expensive! LOL

We were at the Poly same time you were!! We had the same issues with the buses as you. There was one time where we waited 45 minutes for a downtown disney bus that was already full from the contemporary when it came around! People were getting very angry and antsy, but luckily another bus pulled up behind it, empty.

You and your Fiance look really familiar so I had to bump into you at some point! I'll have to continue reading later to see if we crossed paths!

Im so sad that your trip is over and your fab live trip report is coming to an end. It seems like you had a great vacation and made me super excited for my upcoming Nov trip. You opened my eyes to so many things I have never done especially in MGM (hollywood studios) and Epcot so I am anxious to do all that new stuff. Looking forward to your last day report and final thought. Thanks so much for taking us all along with you on your trip!

:)Great trip report. We're going the same time as you next year. How was the weather for the whole trip? Was it hot and humid every day or rain every day? Thanks.

I am very strange--I don't really like cheese other than mozzerella or mild cheeses baked into a dish...weird, I know ;)

That's too funny! Maybe we were at the bus stop at the same time :)

We went the same time this year and last year. Last time, it was pretty hot and humid, and it rained at least for a half an hour every night. This trip seemed much milder, comparatively speaking of course. It was still hot, but not quite as bad as last year; plus, there was more of a breeze some days. Also, it didn't rain every day and only poured once.

Ok--I think I will be able to post the final day later tonight, and final thoughts/point-and-shoot camera photos by Friday at the latest. Thanks for your patience everybody! (Slept until noon today, hence the not doing any posts yet!)

Monday morning, we were going to get up at seven and have breakfast at Kona Cafe before packing up and storing our luggage with bell services. This was actually the breakfast I had rescheduled from Saturday morning when I wasn't feeling well. It seemed a Kona breakfast wasn't in the cards for this vacation, though, because when I woke up, I felt like I had to get a little more rest since we wouldn't be getting home until very late that night. I asked my fiancé if he would mind if we skipped it and slept a little longer, and he agreed that would be OK. We ended up getting up at about 8:30 to pack up our stuff. Before we left, I took a few more pictures of the room to give you guys an idea of some details I might have missed before.

I loved the size of the safe here. Whereas the safe at the All Star Music last year could really only hold small items like a camera or a wallet, this safe could fit my whole purse with plenty of room to spare.

Even the bathroom was themed well!

Hallway--I think this was the ground floor, not ours.

Loved the hidden Mickey on the carpet!

As we walked to the GCH with our bags, I tried to get a few more Poly grounds shots.

The fresh flowers they had on the tables in the lobby were beautiful!

I sat down in the little seating area in the lobby while my fiancé dropped off our checked bag and stored our carry-ons with bell services.

Once we were done everything we needed to do at the Poly, we headed over to the MK for the morning until our lunch at Kona. The lunch was originally supposed to be at noon, but since we got a late start, I moved it back to 1:45. That way, we'd have a little more time to get stuff done in the MK before lunch.

More on our MK morning in the next post!

Thanks for the reply. We are gonna go even though we know it will be hot. We are happy to get the free dining and save some money. We were there before for a wedding, so I guess we just have to suck it up and deal with the Florida heat and rainstorms.
