Only have 2 days, which way would be better?

I will have two days for Disney parks Monday November 7th and Tuesday November 8th. I want to go to Epcot for the new Soarin, new Frozen ride, and hit a few food and wine booths. I also want to do as many rides at magic kingdom as possible.

I'm thinking of doing Epcot on Monday on a one day ticket and doing MK on Tuesday on a MVMCP ticket (assuming they follow the same schedule as last year). If I enter MK at 4 and don't care about doing any characters or party stuff, then I'm thinking the party ticket would be cheaper than buying a two day park ticket and that lines for rides will be less during the party than during the day and I'll have more opportunity to do more rides.

Or would I be better off going to MK on Monday with longer hours and doing epcot on Tuesday? WWYD?

You an get a ton done at a party if you ignore the party specific stuff. That will be the cheaper way for sure if you dont care about not doing a park until 4 that second day.

Depends on which event you really prefer to do. I personally would choose MVMCP over Food & Wine Festival and follow this schedule:

Epcot - Monday
Magic Kingdom - Tuesday

Thanks for the responses! we can do food and wine no matter which day we go to epcot. I went to MVMCP this year so don't care about not doing the party again, other than it being cheaper than buying a second day ticket.

I just want to make sure I'm not selling us short by only being able to go at 4 o'clock. the kids we are taking will be 13 and 7 and are both night owls so we will definitely be able to make the most of our time that night and will be able to stay til close. I think my plan will be to let them sleep in that morning, hit the hotel pool for a bit in early afternoon, then eat a big meal at 230-3 so we can get away with just snacking the rest of the night and plan to be at the gates by 330.

I think it's a good plan for getting in the most rides in one day, just second guessing myself on whether it would be better to have a longer time in the park. More opinions would be welcome!

This thread just gave me a wonderful idea for my 5 day tickets. I wasn't sure how we would pick which park to repeat. Now I think I will buy MVMCP tickets for our second MK day and have a day on our tickets for a second visit to Epcot, DHS or AK. Brilliant!!
