Welcome to my second PTR!!
I'm so excited to be writing another PTR & sharing our plans with you all!
I just finished up our TR from our September 2014 trip & it is because of that amazing trip that our 2015 Trip is happening!
A First Time Planners Trip Report- Sept 2014
Let me introduce our little Disney family:
Me: Lauren
A little bit about me: I have had the Disney bug since I was young. I went to Disney World when I was real young & only really remember from pictures. My family also had a condo in San Diego so I have been to DL quite a few time, but the last time I was in Junior High! My love for WDW really kicked in when my Dad and I took multiple trips together that he planned that were just magical! Before our trip last September, I hadn't been to Disney in over 10 years! Our trip last September was my most favorite vacation yet & just thinking about it puts a smile on my face!
I recently uncovered all of my old family photos & I am wearing Disney clothes or holding a Disney stuffed animal in about 90% of the pictures- little did I know years later I would be 25 & shopping for anything with Minnie Mouse on it!
Traveling companion/Fiance/Best Friend/Soon to be Hubby: Joe
A little bit about Joe:
Joe is going to be a seasoned Disney goer this trip! Our last trip was his first trip, so I had a lot of pressure on me to make it perfect! My Dad, knowing my love for Disney, told me when we started dating that I better take Joe to Disney before we get married because what if he doesn't like it? So we followed his advise & went to Disney! Luckily, Joe didn't just "like" it...he loved it and is helping with all the plans for this trip! He finds Hidden Mickeys every where we go, he wakes me up to the Good Morning song for MK park opening and sometimes even the Lion King song, and is just full of Disney love now!
The Poodle: Sophie
Sophie is our 4 year old Standard Poodle, who is the goofiest & most human like dog I've ever met. Obviously, she is not coming to Disney with us but I'm sure she'll make her way into this report so I figured I should introduce her!
A little bit about US!:
In January of this past year, Joe got down on one knee while we were on a walk with Sophie & proposed! We had just put an offer in on our house the weekend before! So 2015 has been so crazy! We moved into our new house this past March & had a big housewarming/engagement party in April! The week after our party...Joe one morning woke up and said "We should go to Disney". That's all it took and I was on the website pricing out our vacation & figuring out dates. I said...well we're only engaged once so lets go to celebrate our Engagement! Joe agreed & said we should just celebrate all year, so that's what we plan on doing!
Enough about us, back to OUR TRIP!:
WHEN: We were trying to figure out when we would want to go back & we decided to go back the exact same time as last year because we enjoyed it so much! We are getting married in May 2016 so September will be good as it won't be too close to the Wedding! So it was decided, we are going the first week of September for 8 days!
WHERE: We originally booked at CBR again since we loved that so much last year. The more we started talking, we thought maybe we should try something new & we really liked the look of POR so we changed our reservation to POR! THEN Free Dining came out. We had Free Dining last year & we really enjoyed being able to have a nice TS meal every night, which we may not have done otherwise so we were hoping to get it again this year. I was so nervous because POR wasn't included last year, but luckily for our dates it was! We ended up having to switch to a Garden View room to get the free dining but it was worth it!
WHY: Well- you never really NEED a reason to go to Disney- but this trip we are going to be celebrating our Engagement! When I called to add room requests, they asked if we were celebrating & I explained how we had just gotten engaged but our trip wasn't till September and the Cast Member was so sweet & got real excited and said she would make a note that we are celebrating our Engagement!
