I'm very very sad now and only a WDW college programmer would understand. Tonight Disney came to my college recruiting for next spring on the Walt Disney World college program. Since I'm an alumni they incourage us to come and to tell about our experiences and just be there for questions. They also take us out to dinner later....and I get a free meal in an hour! YEAH, my fav word in college, FREE!!!!!

Anyway, I had a great time sharing memories with old alumni that I hadn't even met. We shared so much about the parks, the program, the "social" life, and everyone was asking me and another guy about our experience on Sept 11th since we were there. But now I'm sad because I want to do the program again! I've thought about applying for next fall again but I really need to graduate and I don't think my parents would go for it anyway. Oh well, maybe when I graduate I can do it one last time.

Yes, I wish I could go back. Going back as a non-CP CM just isn't the same.

You think that's depressing? I did CP during my 2nd of 5 years of undergrad. I went to a CP recruit meeting during vet school... talk about feeling old! Most of the kids there were still in high school when I was in CP! Very depressing.

Do it again, if you get the chance. I got rehired for a 2nd CP but backed out due to getting into a bad wreck on the way down. I'll never know if I did the right thing (I might have graduated later and been a year behind in vet school or maybe not have even been accepted), but I sure do wish I could have done CP again.

Kyle - You are only young once - If you're going to regret not doing it - go for it. You will still graduate, just a little later. Chances are, you won't go back to college after graduation & won't do CP.....
I regret not taking 2 jobs when I was younger & mobile - things that I can't do now because I have responsibilities that keep me where I am - One was working as a Chef on a Cruise Ship & the other was working with race horses overwintering in FL - Would have really loved either of those & kick myself for not grabbing the opportunities when I had them...

Leota speaks with great wisdom. "Real life" can wait, go for another CP semester at WDW. I'm a dad of a Cp'er who has now been at WDW for almost a year. I think she will stay, and I think that's smart for her. Good luck on your choice.

I hear ya! I really miss Disney! That's why I'm heading back there next year after I graduate. The recruiters will be at my school next month- almost two years to the day that I interviewed for spring 2001. wow...
