only 3 full days to tour in mid June...HELP!

arriving 6/14 pm... CSR... 4 adults, 2 girls - 4&5, and 18 mo. boy... can tour 15, 16 &17... back to hotel for afternoon rests... no park plan so far... some have never done WDW... help me with plan suggestion please! so hard to do last minute and for more than just my family of three... would never plan to do summer on our own, but planning has been left to me now that dates are set... what do i do? Need to get ps but can't w/o a park plan...
Any Suggestions and can we pull this off??

To get started this is what I do:

1.Check the parks and see what the park hours are.

2.Make of list of what rides/attractions are not to be missed.

3.Check for EE mornings in MK. With small children and early risers, we always take advantage of EE in MK then hop to Epcot or MGM in the afternoon.

4.If I want to see any live shows like Beauty and the Beast in MGM, Lion King in AK, Off-Kilter in Epcot I check the times for these shows and what days they are playing.

5. Finally I decide what Fireworks I want to see.

Now with all this information I decide on my touring plan and what restaurants I want to go to. I make sure I schedual pool/rest breaks because for the little ones, no matter how exciting the parks are, the pools RULE!!!!

First, since you are staying on site, you will need to take advantage of the EMH mornings. Try to arrive at the EMH park before early opening and stay there until it you are ready to go back for an afternoon break. You should be able to see quite a bit during the first couple of hours. You could always schedule a late breakfast or early lunch character meal in that park (after the crowds start to build).

Then pick a different park (not the EMH park) to hop to for late afternoon/evening. If there are going to be any e-nights when you are there, that's a good way to see some of the more popular attractions in MK.

Just go with the attitude that you will enjoy what you are able to do and see and not worry about "doing it all" and you'll have a great time!

Ahem. Buy the Unofficial Guide to WDW. They have park touring plans for people who want to "do Dumbo or Die" as they put it.

Great tips for making the most out of Fantasyland rides. Worth the price of the book right there.

Tons of other tips too! I've never done the touring plans, but others have posted here that they work wonders.

Whatever your plan, organization is the key. This is not a trip to be spontanious on! Of course get an idea of what the other's in your group want to do, and if a kid has a melt down drop the plan and head back to the hotel, but otherwise try to stick with the plan. Your family/group will thank you in the end.

Oh and remember these two words. Sunscreen. Water. And lots of both!!!

thankyou so much for the tips... just back from picking up my daughter from preschool... such a busy time of year! My brain is a little overwhelmed, but at least now I've got a point to work from... here I go ! no, really... I'll just think of the pool...

That looks like a good plan. My #1 tip for you is to be at the front gate to the parks 15 minutes before they open. Tue and TH should be great mornings for EE because there are E-nights the night before so a whole bunch of people will have stayed up late (and so will not be up at 7 am to make it to EE).
With only 3 days to tour the parks I would limit sit down meals to an early lunch. Otherwise you will be spending more time eating than touring the parks. I am sure you can get some great PS for your dates/parks.

I am a bit worried about fitting in the enough of the little kid shows at MGM... they seem to take up chunks of time, but the 4&5yr. olds will love them... and besides, its WDW... how could it not turn out great? Will feel much better having itenerary in hand... feeling stress leave me just thinking about it...

I think that's about as good as 3 days is going to get. Please narrow your focus on what is really important during each of those days. There's no way to do it all, so maximize your enjoyment of the attractions you choose.

on thurday go to MGM instead of EPCOT and catch Fantasmic.

6/15 - Garden grill (epcot) for lunch; Plaza or Liberty Inn for dinner (MK)
6/16 - Cinerella's for lunch (in the castle); Concorse Steakhouse (Contemporary hotel) for dinner

and we're only doing 4 days. I know we won't see it all, but we want to do other things on our trip, too. I think your plan looks fine. Similar to ours, actually! I called for ps last week and there seemed to be plenty available...even for the character meals.

Keep in mind that your kids might want to hang our around the pool more than anything else! Also, I know someone mentioned Fantasmic, but I know my kids would have been scared of Fantasmic at that age. Just a thought.
