Online Reservations?

We are new members - just got my pin in the mail today.

I see on the website that you can submit a reservation request - does that show you availability, or is it only a request form? I was hoping there was a way to view resort availability online, but I'm guessing that's not possible...

And they've been working on it for how many years now?

Reminds me of when Bank of America bought some banks in 1998. I was not able to make an ATM deposit at the acquired banks. They said they did not want to make the changes in 1999 because of all the year 2000 stuff that would be happening.

Year 2000 came and went, then 2001, 2002, 2003, etc. In 2007 they FINALLY changed the software so I could make a deposit without going inside.

Funny thing was that when I was in California they charged EXTRA if you went inside to use a teller to make a deposit. Outside of CA I had to go inside during banking hours for almost a decade. And the tellers often complained because it required a weird procedure and form.

I was so shocked when they finally updated the system - just like I will be when DVC finally comes through.

I worked in ATM software development for decades. It was not a big change at the ATM at all - but involved more with intrabank transfers.
