Online checkin question

I'm sure it's been asked before but.....

We are now inside our online checkin window. Some members of our party are coming from another city and will arrive later than us. Can I check everyone in online? I think they might want to leave a CC for purchasing. Would I have to have that info?

It has been reported lately that you can assign different credit cards to different room keys for charging purposes. However, this cannot be done via online check-in. If you do the online check-in, all keys (including those for children) will have room charging turned on and associated with the single card you use during the online check-in process.

Sounds like you'll want to do a traditional check-in at the desk.

You can have your card associated with your keys when you check in, then your friends can go down later to have their CC associated with their keys.

I love online check in. When we landed at orlando and were told we could turn our cell phones back on my phone buzzed saying I had a message. It was Disney saying our room was ready. Major Cool.

Every time we have done online check in, we have had to go through the process of providing our CC again live at check in. Apparently the info I typed in on the computer did not get transmitted to the front desk. We did not do online check in for our last 2 trips, but am contemplating giving it another try. Like OP we have a couple of different families who will likely want their KTTW linked to their own CC. Could this not be done at check in even if you've done online check in. My thought is just omitting a CC number altogether during the online proces, and then when they ask at check in if you want to put a CC on file asking them to split the cards accordingly.
