Online Check-In Room Request. Am I Missing Something?

So I've been away from the boards lately, and this has probably already been covered but I couldnt find it. Went to do online check in for our stay next week at BLT and the room request function does not seem to be working? It opens a box but I cant do anything with it? Am I missing something? If I call MS and make a request, and then do online c/i, will they still see it?

The software for online check-in was designed for guests with cash reservations checking into other Disney resorts. DVC is using it as a convenience to members, but not all sections of the screen are appliable to DVC points reservations.

Any room requests you have need to be annotated on your reservation by calling member services. You can't add or change requests via the online check-in tool.
 
The room request function was never fully implemented for any resort check-ins, not just DVC. It looks like it's a placeholder for functionality they plan to add later.
 
This has been frustrating me for days! I'm glad to know it's not just me, I've been trying different browsers, different days and times, etc. I guess I'll just go ahead and check-in now...

I couldn't get the credit card function to work either - I submitted everything and it took it, but then at the very end I got a message that they couldn't process the card and I'd have to show it when I arrive. What exactly is the point of early check-in if I still have to go and give them my credit card, anyway?

On-line check in was designed to lessen the Front Desk work load and to reduce the Guest contact time with Cast Members, saving Disney money.

I was able to use online check in on my last two visits and use the room request function. Maybe it has something to do with BLT? The only requests I was allowed to check were ground floor and near transportation. Maybe those don't apply to BLT?

We've used it twice. One time it was very convenient and saved us a lot of time at check in. One time I don't think it mattered. On our next trip we're checking in on President's Day weekend. I definitely plan to use it then to avoid the usual lines.
