Online Booking - Waitlist

So, I had booked online, for one day, but had to waitlist for the next day. I was online the other day and noticed the waitlist was gone! But it was because it had been filled! I was just surprised that I hadn't gotten a confirmation email or anything. Has anyone else had any experience with this?

Also, now I have 2 reservation numbers. Should I call MS and have them link the reservations so that "hopefully* I don't have to check out?

I would definitely call & have them link the two reservations. I've got a waitlist pending but so far it hasn't come through. I check it myself periodically because in my experience before they started the online booking I would rarely ever receive notification of a wait list coming through once they started doing them automatically without calling to verify it first with me.

update: I just checked again & one of my waitlists came through. So far no e-mail confirmation but they canceled another waitlist I had that included the one day that came through in addition to 13 other nights in a different type room so now I have to put that waitlist back in. This system still needs some improvements.
