Online Booking Question

Hi All,

I am hoping to go to Disney in November of this year. I have received multiple pins but only good through October. I read on this board last night that if you try to book the vacation online and choose off site hotel and save the itiniery, you may get a pin code shortly thereafter. I tried to do thislast night but don't see where you have the choice of an offsite hotel. I went to the official disney site and clicked on vacation packages. It only gave me the option of selecting the category of hotel (i.e value vs moderate vs. deluxe). can anyone help advise me how to choose an offsite hotel? Thanks for your help!

Subscribing! I want ot know that too! That sounds reasonable, to save the iten....not sure how to do it off site, though...maybe save one with a disney resort....did u already register on the disney.com website...that seems to help with a pin code! Also, request a planning DVD!

You don't want to book a vacation, you want to create an itinerary.

Go to the www.disneyworld.com and click on the link at the top for "My Disney Vacation". Once there you need to sign in. If you don't already have an account you need to create one. This is key as you need to be logged in so that Disney can associate your itinerary with your email and home address.

Once you are logged in you can then choose the link for "Itineraries" and on the page that comes up choose "Build a New Itinerary". It is on that page that you get to choose whether you need accomodations or not.

Like the PP mentioned, you need to set up an Itinerary in the "My Disney Vacation" section of the website.

When I did that (using dates in September) I got a pin e-mail that said, "We’re delighted you’ve been making plans online with My Disney Vacation!"

The pin I got was a 20/30/40 pin that was good through December. The November dates you could use the pin were listed as: 10/11/10–11/23/10 and 11/28/10–12/16/10 so hopefully those dates are good for you!

It worked for me, so I had my husband's friend try it, but he still hasn't gotten a pin, and it's been a week now.
