Online ADRs Thread (Updated FAQ 9/9/9)

That kept happening to me, too. I just ended up calling, but all I was doing was making a couple of changes. I wonder what's the problem?

There's a commonality here that most people are unwilling or unable to admit. There is no technical reason why some people (DVC and TA guests aside) should be able to reserve their 90+10 and others cannot. Those who cannot either originally booked under the old CRO system and/or are punching in the wrong phone number associated with the reservation, or they are not logged in when they go to make their ADR reservations, which is why the system doesn't recognize their resort reservation. I realize no one will admit to this, and everyone will say the information input on their end is 100% accurate, but computer systems (including Disney's, yes I know) don't have glitches that way. If it didn't work for some people, it shouldn't work for all people, and vice versa.

In any event, for every person who has had a problem booking 90+10, I have heard of equally as many success stories. Maybe those who are having trouble gave the incorrect info when they originally booked their resort reservations, or maybe they are inputting the information incorrectly now. Either way, the info has to match on both ends and it's not. My belief is it has something to do with your phone number. That seems to be the consensus amongst all complaints.

There are a NUMBER of technical reasons those people can't get their ressies to work...and there's a good number of possible operational issues (like a CM typing the wrong phone number in), too. I highly dobut that, in the majority of cases, it's the guests fault....there's just too many other bugs in the system that we've found/seen to give Disney IT the benefit of the doubt, here.

Yes, there is a minority of CRO customers having problems...but I don't think there's much evidence that it's "their fault". On the contrary...some have reported issues where their phone number is correct in CRO, but completely absent in the ADR system, and, in fact, the ADR system won't even let any number be entered. THAT sounds like a corrupted field...and it's likely something that happened downstream. Certainly no fault of the guest.

I have also been able to modify 2 of my ressies that were later than I had wanted! I have one more left that I check daily I am hoping to get an earlier time. :)

I have Ohana for 8:50pm and I am checking the online system daily to try and get an earlier time. I will let you know if and when I do. Hopefully we will both get what we want. ;)

I check Ohana often and not alot opens up but when they do its always for a late time for around 9:30 9:45 at night.

It certainly is a big improvement on calling back every day trying to snag a hard to get reservation.

1disneynutt,

How did you modify the reservation?

The system does not let you modify a reservation that I know of, BUT you can make a new one then cancel the one you don’t want, that is how I have tweaked the resies I have, this included Le Cellier, from 7 -> 6-> 5:30 pm on the same day!!

Your right, Disney hit a homerun with the ADR system!!!!

 :worship: :thumbsup2

Now only if they could fix the Resort reservation system!!!!!

I get to book tomorrow morning. My check in date is Sept. 20th, but I will not be booking dining reservations until the 21st and later. I can't figure out how to add the 21st and forward online. Tomorrow is my 90 day mark, but I don't know how to book the the 90 plus 10 online. Please help.

You know, I'm not sure that you can do 90 + 10 on line. When I was checking out the website I didn't see any information about that. As I stated when I first booked my ADRs for 90 + 10 I did it by phone. I changed them today on-line but my dates are now all within 90 days. You may want to post this question as it's own thread.

Also, just so you know, I had read some conflicting information about doing 90 + 10 when you're not making an ADR on the day you check in. Some people stated that the CM wouldn't take their ADRs since they didn't make one for 90 days. I think they said they just went ahead made a reservation someplace on their check in day and then cancelled it the next day or so. I'm not sure if this is true or not (it wasn't an issue for me since I wanted to make an ADR for check in day) but just wanted to give you a heads up.

Good luck

In order to hit the 90 +10 day you have to sign in with your resort reservation # / phone number you used to make the res and the extra days will be avail for you!!

I used the on line reservation system for changing some of my ADRs today and it all went very smoothly.

If you're having problems getting the "special" ADR during free dining I strongly suggest you try on line. I was able to get one for Le Cellier that way.

Good luck

As to why there is availablity online and not over the phone, my guess and please realize it is a guess, I have no inside info otherwise, but it is an educated guess on dealing with Disney for years and understanding how they think, is they held back openings for the online system.

Why??, well to make it attractive to users. They want, very much want, this system to work and be well recieved. What better way to do that, than to make it where you can get bookings online that you were unable to get by phone.

I totally agree. At least I hope that it's the case and there aren't going to be a lot of overbookings come free dining!

I agree totally again. Boy, I sure am being agreeable today! ;)

.

I totally agree with this! who would even bother trying the system more than once if everything they pulled up was not available. This morning at around 10 am I was able to pull up not one but TWO available CRT breakfast spots for 90 days out - yet people weren't able to get it 90 + 10... why? Because I agree they are holding spots for the 90 day mark - if they didn't no one staying offsite would EVER get into that breakfast.

Your times are correct. 6:01 for the online, 7:00 for WDW-Dine.

When you bring up the online system, make sure you enter you reservation # and phone # that is on the reservation. Once this is done you should be able to make all of your reservations for up to 10 days.

i made my ressies online today and can't get them to show up when i try to look at all of them under my disney vacation...i called a cm and she says she is showing all 7 in her computer....so obviously they don't have that part fixed yet

I like it too. I like that you can cancel online too. I love that you see a picture of the restaurant when you are making the reservation. I think, this is great for people who loving booking things on their own. I'll never call for dining reservations ever!

Are you serious 6 am EST time for online? Oh brother!!! Man that is doing to make it difficult for us West Coasters. UGH!!! and much easier for East Coasters.

Well dont feel too bad. This east coaster is a DVC member and online ressies still are not working right for us so i have to call. Giving everyone else an hour headstart on me.

That was NOT the issue with CRT today, and even yesterday. There was some sort of problem with CRT breakfast times not being in the system. As far as I have heard, NO ONE has been able to book these online OR by phone. Some sort of glitch on these days.........
