Onice a ticket is assigned to someone. ..

On MDE, can it be reassigned if never used? If we buy tickets and assign them to friends and family on MDE can they be saved for another person if the person it was assigned to doesn't end up coming on the trip?
 
If it hasn't been activated, I think you may be able to go to guest services and see if they can re-assign them. To be sure call Disney and ask. Personally, that is what I would do and have them assigned right on thst call...or I see you aren't sure if they will show, so explain this to CM on the phone
 
I am pretty sure they can be assigned as long as they have not been used at all. Once they are used for park entry and associated with the biometric finger scan, that ticket can only be used by that person.
 
As long as they are assigned to someone you control. Don't assign them to someone with their own account. Only the account owner can transfer a ticket.
 

There is a "reassign" button on your unused tickets in the MDE app (menu->my profile->tickets and passes). You can reassign it to anyone else on your account.
